I promised Roger a review of my Roger Taft case. There are also pics in the cue gallery under this link http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=185467

I had Roger custom make this case for my LP Custom curly maple cue. Let me just start by saying Roger is one of those guys that answers you back quickly and keeps the communication going. He listens to what you want and goes over it with you. He has top notch customer service and was happy to send me pics upon request of the progress of the case. As he gets busier he may not be able to do that but I sure appreciated it. Now to the case. It is made from Curly maple trimmed in walnut with all brass hardware to match the cue. The interior is lined in tan felt. The interior of the lid is well padded and the felt work is done very nice. The cradle areas where the cue rests is sized to perfection and holds the cue nice and snug. He also included little ferrule and tip felt booties that keep the interior of the case nice and clean. The hinged lid meets up with the body perfectly in alignment. The hardware is top of the line. The leather handle really impressed me by how thick and sturdy it is. You would think these cases would be heavy. They are not. If you think about it most box cases are made of wood and then covered in vinyl or leather. So Roger's cases run on par with the same kind of weight. Roger did some real nice inlay work for me with the LP which he did on the top and the bottom of the case. Also like the cue that is in it the clear coat is top notch. Thick and shiny. He also signed and dated the case as well. As with most box style cases he includes a storage area for goodies and includes the keys to the lockable latches which close and stay secure with precision. I have seen other wood box cases and non of them come close to what Roger made for me. I wanted a case to pair my cue with to make it a set and Roger did it with superb craftsmanship. His turn around time is incredible compared to the amount of work he puts into his cases. I believe he had mine done in under two months. What more can you ask for. It's a real looker and if anybody out there has any questions about the quality of these cases be secure in ordering one. In my opinion they are under priced for such a beautiful wood piece that will set off any cue you put in it. Roger if you read this I can't thank you enough and will surely be back for another. Cheers! Duane

I had Roger custom make this case for my LP Custom curly maple one piece cue.

For some reason, when I read this line, I was expecting to see this 60+ inch long wooden cue case! lol I guess that would be the only thing more awesome than the actual case and the cue if it was twice as long.

I'm not a fan of box cases...but in this case, the case and the cue are a perfect match. Absolutely gorgeous!

i have one in progress. cant wait to get it. here are pics of progress and the diamond shaped ebony inlays that he is adding.

Can't wait

Roger is making a 2 X 4 case for me and I'll post pictures and a review...
But, from what I've seen and heard; it'll be well worth the wait.
