Oh boy, I have been a Rolex fan for a long time and am currently wearing one I have had for over 20 years.... Personally, I love them and the Daytona is a very desirable model.

Interestingly, 20+ years ago it was fairly easy to spot a fake.

I saw one recently that was a fake, but it was so dang good I honestly couldn't tell.

Hope it goes well for you, a Daytona is a great watch.

I've probably owned at least 25 Rolexes in the last 20 years and currently rotate my DateJust II, Explorer II and rose gold diamond dial President, which is just a killer piece. I've had both black and white Daytonas and sold both as they have no date and that just bothered me no end. I can spot a fake a mile away no problem no matter how good it might look to an untrained eye. I'm also a long time member on the Timezone.com forum with over 5,000 posts. PM some good pics if you want along with the serial # (or if it has a letter prefix then just the letter) and I can help you out more. And for the record, Rolex switched from the Zenith movement to their own in-house 4130 movement in 2000, not 2010.

Corey, which watch do you have? I've a couple of Omega GMT's, both Seamaster 300M, one a Great White and the other the 50th Anniversary. They both get plenty of wrist time.

Stainless Steel White-faced SeaMaster GMT Chronometer. I wear it everyday.

Thinking of going from the SS bracelet, to leather or rubber. Any recommendations?

Hey Corey! There are all sorts of brands but one of the more popular is Hirsch. They have leather and rubber. Prices aren't bad, considering some straps can get really expensive. I don't believe they are available for use with a deployment buckle. They all come with classic buckle AFAIK. You can call them about this.

Hope this helps. ;)

My daily driver is a stainless white face Daytona with black rubber B. Comfy and uses factory clasp. I love it. The rubber B fits the watch perfect as if it came from factory that way....doesn't have that aftermarket feel and fit and finish is flawless

RubberB makes a great strap for sure but their line is more specific to Rolex, Panerai, and Patek. Of course that doesn't mean they won't fit an Omega depending on lug width, but some models might or might not offer the proper clearance from spring bar to case, a taper similar to the original bracelet or proper connectivity to the OEM deployment clasp. But I agree, top quality and a very popular rubber option for Rolex. Another plus is they offer Rolex and Patek OEM deployment clasp configurations for certain references in addition to the RubberB tang buckle set up.
