The German government is investigating charge of rape and molestation that Ronnie Alcano is purported to have committed against their favorite pool son Ralf Souquet.
According to witnesses Ronnie Alcano lured Souquet to destruction with a soft break and then repeatedly abused him with deft runouts and creative ball play.
Souquet, in a rare burst of emotion, cried openly about his ordeal and apparently formed a bond with his molester whom he praised in public.
Alcano, when asked about his involvement in this situation just shrugged his shoulders and repeated that tired old line from another repeat offender, "I got lucky."

Being a victim of abuse myself I find some of these comments are a little sick!

Just because he is a pool god does not mean anything! If you look and the percent of kids that lie about things like this it is very low. I did not say he was guilty I just stated that people should not make fun of such a sad issue as child molestation that's all.

I think we all agree that molestation and sexually predatory acts against minors and unwilling participants is a serious crime against humanity.
One of the things that makes us human however is the ability to overcome adversity. And one of the ways we triumph over tragedy is to cover it with humor.
"Laughter is the best medicine".
No one will be laughing if Ronnie is found guilty. There will be plenty of anger and sympathy. Until then however it is prudent to keep in mind that he is only accused at this point. And in light of the other facts that surround this particular case it seems especially prudent NOT to go off too far in the direction of guilt.
Lastly, one should not assume that people who find humor in the face of adversity are not victims themselves. Some of the funniest people on Earth were victims of sexual crimes and they openly laugh about it as their way of coping and in the process they help other victims to overcome their own trauma.

It seems that there is a media blackout. My friend said he hasn't read any new development on the case. He said that some judges when it comes to family litigations restrict individuals to talk to media.
I've always felt that child molesters should either be castrated or sent to prison for life. I don't want them to recieve the death penalty, because that is too merciful.
RideWithTheWind's story reminded me of a harsh memory that took place when I was in AIT in the USArmy. In my unit, there was this guy that was the common "oddball" of any unit. He was our Gomer Pyle (Full Metal Jacket) pretty much. He was about 30 years old, had black beady eyes, thick military glasses, red hair and freckles, and had a real high pitched voice.
At first I just thought he wasn't very bright, because he would always find a way to get all of us in trouble during training. Most of us avoided him like the plague. There was just something seriously wrong with him, but none of us could really tell what it was. During AIT we trained along with females, and he would try to be friends with them.
Two of the females, who were good friends of mine told me something one day that really shocked me. They said that in our rest time after chow, he was talking to them about his family, and how he had a baby sister. Then he started getting emotional, and after a while he fessed up that he had molested his baby sister. The girls told me that he started crying and claimed that his baby sister "forced him to", or something like that. Obviously this guy was deranged.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The girls were sickened by what he said. I was squad leader, and I was supposed to report any problems to either the Sgt. Major or the Commanding Officer. I took both girls as witnesses to what 'Pyle' said, and I reported him. Soon after that, he was escorted out by MP's. We never saw or heard from him again. I know that we did the right thing in reporting this. I hope that he went to prison and is still there. It was just a creepy, horrible feeling having to deal with someone as sick in the head as he was.

Possible that the media jumped the gun or were played by the accuser's camp. Notice that the media hoopla started at the time when the nations eyes were on the Philippine National Pool Championships. This move makes people suspicious that the plotters are trying to get max media impact. This supposed allegations fall under RA7610 which requires preliminary investigation before charges are filed. Such preliminary investigation required the victim to undergo a thorough medical check-up that was ordered and supervised by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Justice through the NBI. Other angles are also being scrutinized, other than just an attack on Ronnie alone, including a demolition job on Bugsy Promotions and the BSCP. May or may not be a related event: Gabica was here this afternoon and reported that his car was vandalized yesterday, strips-all on the paint job.
Just reporting on the events that may not found in normal publications and not siding with anybody. Hoping that everything gets straightened out but I do have a feeling that this is going to get worse.JMO

I do not also want to defend a "PROVEN" child molester, again the word "PROVEN". there is just no sensible excuse for such a deed. but also, I do not like to tolerate people who coerce other people just to get money from them. a classic example of that is the lewinsky trial whom she said that she was after justice but most people know otherwise it's just plain moneymaking. not to disregard the fact that obviously, she was used by some opposition people. but that is another different story or scenario since Slick Willy is just guilty of philandering.
though statistics may show that most child molestation cases are proven to be true, the evidence presented most on those cases have solid evidences which prove the plaintiff to be guilty of the crime committed. and some cases are proven to be tall tales because of the outrageousness of the story or a simple fabrication just to extort money or vengeance. Now , if you would notice on some of the arguments presented on Alcano's case, where have you seen a rape complaint case that has been altered to a child molestation case after the medical examination came out negative? this alone tells a lot about something. it may mean that the accusers are not that sure that a rape had really occured, or the accusers are just that so damn stupid not to know what a rape is, or they are just fabricating a story. I'm also considering the fact that how a molested child would have the audacity to ask for money from his supposed rapist father and his promoter after such a horrendous incident? I would say that the actions of the child alone is beyond the thinking of that of a molested victim. I do believe in some way that this is also perpetuated by some media personnel just to sell stories of bad publicity. I only hope that those people are gonna get charged when Alcano clears his name.

Exactly. If he is innocent, then the accuser should get prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Rape and molestation are two of the worst, if not the worst, possible crimes. For that reason, falsely accusing someone of these crimes should also be taken very seriously and punished severely. IMO, in certain cases, the punishment for that should be nearly as severe, or perhaps as severe, as that of the alleged crime.
