I hope this gets some answers, especially an update as to what's going on or not going on. As I mentioned, once the story is reported I feel there is an obligation to follow it to it's conclusion.

One difference between Deno and Ronnie is that in Denos situation the apparent/possible victim is one of our fellow pool players, one known to many. That would get a bit more attention and reaction from the pool crowd here at AZ. Nobody here knows Ronnies daughter (generally speaking).

Deno made his bed *with the IPT*. That has zip to do with whether or not he molested someone or not.

Deno was getting roasted by this crowd well before any such allegations came up.

Alcano isn't getting roasted due to two words - hero worship.

Humans are emotional beings, and don't want to believe the people they admire could be capable of despicable acts. If it's someone they DON'T like - there's no hesitation to point the finger.

In both situations - the facts will come out.

I was talking about Deno and the IPT mess, which he has been thoroughly up to his ears in and roundly condemned for. I was not aware of any other allegations, if there are any.

A) Deno was allegedly inappropriate with one of the female IPT players. Dunno if anything came of it. Icon brought it up, so I assume that's what he was talking about, and I figured you were too. *shrug*

B) Since you didn't know about A): Comparing Deno's involvement with the IPT debacle and Alcano's pending molestation charges is like comparing apples to concrete blocks. Completely different situations.
 
I worked for the Calif Dept of Corrections for over 20 yrs. as a Teacher, I'll tell you up front. My last 10 yrs was at a minimum security, which was mostly populated with petty thieves small time drug dealers and Child Molesters. The C/M they come in all shapes, sizes, ethnic background ,from all different walks of life. different level of education, from drop out to professor. There is no standard type. From homeless to big business owners.From brother, uncles and cousins to fathers and grandfathers.I've seen them all.

Whats sad is most the time these were repeat offenders, very few first timers. Alot of them had accucations of abuse long before they were actually put away.

The public demands protection for our children, what happens is all accused are now pre judged as guilty and sometimes an innocent person is accused. NOT VERY OFTEN is an innocent sent to prison

Its so hard to make any judgement without facts, thats why we have a court system to hear the facts and them make a judgement.

Lives have already been effected, most of us hope the incident is untrue and just the work of an angry ex. Lets hope this is cleared up in a hurry and no lives will be totally ruined. just my 2 cents worth

Yes, I thought it a bit curious myself.

(edit: ) After giving it a little more thought and receiving a little information I have absolutely nothing to say about anything related to Deno outside of his IPT related behavior at this point.

Ronnie Alcano is about to add millions to his bank account as one of the stars in San Miguel Beer's stable of endorsers. With this development, I don't think he will be coming out with one after this controversy. It is not impossible for the accusation to be true but the money extortion angle is just to much to ignore.
 
The alleged molestation happened barely weeks after Ronnie won the World Pool. I remember he said when he was interviewed that this win will change his life forever...ironic, isn't it? You decided to molest/rape your own child at the time that you are very happy and looking forward to brighter things coming your way...c'mon now...it just defies logic..unless Ronnie is really really sick, but why just now? Why didn't he do it when he was still a nobody. Why risk everything, endorsements and stuff for this?

This makes sense. The ex-wife might have an axe to grind against Alcano who admitted that he has 3 wives. That is why he was not able to take even one when he went to the palace to be congratulated by the President. He said it might make the others jealous. This means that he has no problem getting women to hook up with him so why 'rape' your own child when you can have any woman you want?

However, if this is proven to be true, then this is the end of Ronnie Alcano's career. Such a pity when it is just starting to get off.

Hero worship may be a contributory factor why Ronnie isn't being roasted but the facts just make the allegations unbelievable.
1. Medical tests were done by the DSWD (Dept. of Social Welfare and Development) which reported that the daughter was intact thus no sexual intercourse occured.
2. This report then made the accusers change the rape charge to molestation. hmmmm
3. Nov 25 was the date the accuser reported as its occurance but knowing of how it is here (fame brings relatives out from under rocks) and hearing from people who were staying at Ronnie's after the WPC win, it was just so questionnable for such to occur. From when he won the WPC crown to this date, Ronnie still has a bunch of people (friends, relatives, media, etc) seeing him or staying with him day in and day out because of all the possible financial income to be gained (endorsement deals, movie deals, etc).
4. Why is it that they brought this out at the time of the PNPC when charges were supposedly filed in January? For media impact?
5. Daughter was borrowing money from Ronnie's handlers, before said allegations were brought out, and was declined.

There are other angles too regarding rival stables but I think it may be a little far fetched.

Just too many facts pointing out to an extortion attempt.

seems like they are trying to build a case against Ronnie. maybe they don't know what rape is? Probably they misunderstood Rape for not lending money ! :D
 
ccn7 tells us that false accusasions don't often occur in the US and that may be true... But after living in Puerto Rico, which has a huge population of uneducated, desperate, poor people rattling around in it, I can tell you that people do all sorts of things (and get away with it) that would not fly in The States.

Things just operate a bit off-kilter here and I assume things are quite a bit worse in the Phillipines, as their problems are many times worse than any I have seen here (which is scary).

That means that the justice system operates by the "buddy" system, "bribery" system, and "the judge had a bad day" system. I would be scared for anyone going through their judicial grinder, as I feel any verdict could be a crapshoot.... flip a coin once to best predict the outcome... especially if there is money involved...

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt until the case is resolved. I am doubtful that the charges are true, but there is no way to tell from news reports and shoddy second-hand information.
 
When a woman accuses a man of rape they are treated as guilty till proven innocent and it stays with them forever. When a woman is accused of rape of a man, more likely a young man, they seem to get away with it, why?
There is a show I think on ABC or CBS about pedophiles on-line but they never go after the women, just the men, Why?
 
its worth remembering that a person is innocent until proven guilty.if it goes to court and is proven then we should be reading posts such as this.in the mean time its not even worth mentioning.

I corrected my mistake..its should have read not very often is an innocent one sent to prison. I'm sure the accusations do occur much more than i would know.
