Room dimensions/9' gold crown comfortably

It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Ok so I just want to know how comfortable Im going to be with this layout. Any movements yall would suggest? Im probably going to play with the garage door open 99% of the time so I could move it a little toward the garage door to free up some room on the top side.

I would suggest centering the table in the space that you have laid out. Worst case, with the ball frozen to either end rail, you'll have 4 inches to stroke a level 58" cue.

Looks like you'll have plenty of room.

If you use a 58 inch cue, you will have a 3 inch backswing on the long rails. This will only come into play when you are froze to rail and shooting perfectly perpendicular. Will come up very rarely. No to mention, you will never have a perfectly level cue which will help on distance. I would have no concerns with the layout.

Worst case get a 56" cue for those very rare shots.

End rails will be no issue.

Congrats on getting table.

16x20..............I had a room with 6 GC, and the outside dimensions of the top rail is 5x10, so the nose of your cushions are approx. 6'' inward. So I went by the outside dimensions, which allows the shooter room to swing the cue naturally if a ball is frozen on the rail. Seeing as how that wall in the upper right of the pic is too close, you might consider doing a recess cutout (if possible) in that wall that will allow the cue room to move.

I have a room that measure 16'x19'6" and believe me, I really want 20' for the length.
When playing 1 Pocket you are constantly leaving the cue ball frozen to the end rail and the butt of the cue is always bumping the wall.
Shooting with a shorty cue sucks!

Your length is 18'8"....get yourself a shorty cue that measures 52".....just sayin

My next house has a living room that measure 15'6" X 24'6", gonna LOVE it :)

Looks good to me! 60.75" from the cushion to the wall in your shortest distance. I would leave it just the way you have it, and NOT move it closer to the door and then play with the door open. If it rains or is cold out, that scenario won't work.

Of course more room would be "ideal", but for what you have, you should be great most of the time.

You'll be fine.

You'll be a little tight if the cue ball is on the rail, but you're also going to come back here and tell us that you absolutely love it and won't ever regret putting the 9' table in.

You'll buy a well balanced short cue (not just a silly short cue, but a weighted short cue), and then you'll never use it.

Freddie <~~~ congratulations

I think I had reported before that at my 14' 2" width and 9' table, I bought a Balance Rite short cue for those times I'd need that short stroke. I think I pulled it out twice and then never again. It never seemed like I really had an issue with the short stroke using my normal cue.

Yeah, but you grew up watching Hopkins shoot his little poke stroke shots, so they probably seem like normal shots to you.
