Why does the outer edge matter? You don't need the tip of your cue to be visiting there.

You only need 50" + 2 cue lengths +2 backstroke lengths for width, 100" + 2 cue lengths +2 backstroke lengths for lengths to fit a 9'er...

My room is 24x24 and by the time my wife was done adding furniture, it's pretty tight. I put my foot down and told (begged) her that my cue must not hit anything. Thankfully it doesn't.

If you will just add 10 ft to each dimension of the table that will allow for a 58inch cue plus a lil backstroke( not counting furniture or rail birds).Pretty simple math. good luck
