I know someone who got one CHEAP(like 400.00?) and probably should have bought it, but that price is ridiculously low....I think. There aren't really that expensive to get INTO the USA, but the fees to get it onto my truck at the harbor have me in a spin.

I've asked Harbor Freight if they'd piggyback a machine in one of there containers for a fee. It's a long shot, but does't hurt to ask.

NEW the single belt is 850.00 to Long Beach and the double is 1650.00

My question is of course....What is a fair used price considering they seem to rarely become available?

Of possible interest is the fact that a doweling machine is less than a grand as well...

They are worth about double those prices used.

Randy

How much are they trying to charge you get it through the port and customs?

I would think the loading it on your truck is probably the part they don't like. They should be able to load it on a normal freight carrier like it's automatic. Millions of products get unloaded from boats, make it through customs, and get loaded on trucks or trains pretty much every day. I've never brought anything through customs like that but I know some who do and it doesn't seem that difficult.

Randy,

Do you have a link to see these machines?

Rick

No link... I've been in contact with many manufacturers in China and one freight forwarder.

Freight forwarder wants 750.00, but I'm not sure how much additional sanders would be.

I found a used one, but getting it shipped here is 350.00

Here is the single and the deal. If I can get enough of these it might be worth the while of cuemakers here.

I'm a little over an hour from Long Beach, so that's not a big deal for me to pick them up. I also live a quarter mile from a YRC shipping depot, who can probably ship these anywhere across the country for 300.00 or less. I've used them before to ship a mill that weighs about this much and it's painless.

If enough guys are interested, we could probably get new machines for less than 1500.00. Double belts probably 2300.00

Same thing goes for the dowelers. Less than 1500.00

The nightmare is dealing with all the paperwork, customs, and the Chinese...
