Just call him or email him with a question about a product on his site. If you dont buy it right that second he will proceed to tell you that you've just wasted his time and then call you names like "dreamer" or "tire kicker". I was set to buy a case from him and had a death in the family which required me to travel to a funeral, when I contacted him a few days later to let him know what happened he went into this crazy rant. He isnt too classy...to put it lightly.
I bought a cog from joeys booth at the DCC back in 05' I think it was made without a ring by the end of the wrap so he discounted it to 600 I gladley paid that for it,it played great and I sold it to my buddy who traded back into to Joey for a higher priced cue,4 years ago it shows up on indyqs website.i email roy(he was asking 999) and tried to work a trade and cash,he flipped out on me called me every name in the book and told me to go back to eBay looking for cues....oh well it was after that I found this website and I haven't had a bad or even so-so deal here yet,as a matter of fact EVERYONE I've delt with on here is first class all the way....too bad Roy is a total dick to people.....just my 2 cents but hey what do I know? I've had cues from 100-3000 and I still can't shoot to save my life...LMFAO
Yep. He sent me an email regarding my inquiry into a JB case and I did not respond the same day. I got a very mean email the next day. I blew it off because I knew of his reputation and did not take it personal. Plus I had purchased an expensive case from him before and all went well with the purchase.
Then I asked him to come down $75 on the price and he went ballistic on me. I bought direct from John Barton and it was $100 less than Roy.
My point is poor customer service cost him a sale and any future business from me. Plus the negative comment in this thread. Keep in mind that I was a repeat customer!

You may want to rethink that...a true gentleman conducts himself like so at all times...not just at the point of sale like Roy. He will never get a dime from me. For those of you reading this thread...notice how we all had the same experience?

I agree with you guys...Roy is a horrible business man but what intrigues me is how he is still in business? I mean its not like he really has great deals (unless you consider 5k for a SW a deal) its well known he is not a likable character or a good business man and doesn't really have any amazing products..IMO
I just heard from a very good source Roy is alive and will in Indy Town, and his e-mail address book was hacked. Most who get treated crappy by Roy, have received what they gave IMHO.

Roy is NOT a nice person (all the time). You yourself have posted that you NEVER have completed a business deal with him. So why defend him over and over and over? Members can share their opinions, as well as you. But you constantly come to defend him.

Only reason im posting here is because its already at the top, as this thread will probably get deleted when it keeps bumping things down. This same scam has happened to Sureman at least once.

I bought a Richard Harris sneaky pete from him and got a very good deal at the time, wish I could buy them for that today. I also traded him a cue and cash for another cue and probably took a little the worst of it but that happens now and then. The last dealing was with a friend of mine and we looked at a cue in his shop and he quoted my buddy a price, I was there. I later picked the cue up for him and was given a higher price. I went ahead and made the deal because it was a top name cue and even though it was larcenist the cue was still worth the money.

CC didn't always think Roy was the best. In fact as his previous screen name shows, he didn't always like Roy.

There was another thread under the name Bruce Lis where he pointed out that Roy overcharged shipping and was charging over list price.
It wasn't until he became a suckling on the JB teet did he change his tune about Roy (no wondering why here).... So he used to be objective about these things once upon a time....
