The very first time I met him I asked, "Do you have a sample I can buy to show potential customers your shafts?". He looked briefly and handed me a new shaft, in a bag, that said "demo". He merely said "Just don't sell it". That was my first meeting with the man, he hands me a 200.00 shaft.....for free. I made a point of seeing him at the APA and BCA every year, regretting now that I didn't spend more time with him. I was fortunate to have dinner with him and several others at the Rio, listening to him tell stories. I'll miss him very much...
