rubber featherstripping

Just did a table with rubber stripping. Now i know its junk. Any tips to make it work??

I just watched a man doing 20 new 3C tables and it came with clear vinly or plastic strips.

I haven't had a problem with rubber featherstrip as long as I remembered to keep a
seam roller in the tool box.

Go to your local lumber store and get some nice straight grain boards and cut them up yourself if you have a table saw and a planer.
I like to have a bunch of them cut a little oversized so they can season/shrink do what they want before use. Then just take a final pass when they're needed.
