Rude-ass pool players during DCC 9-Ball finals

Given the players involved I seriously doubt if noise impacted the outcome of the game. Watch a few videos of Efren playing unknown people at various locations in the Philippines - noise, people walking and standing in the line of sight, chaos between racks, players brushing against spectators crowded around the table, etc.

That is the environment they come from.

Your forgot to mention the motorcycles flying by and the hens clucking

1,2 barbecue

Alex was probably looking up there thinking-"Have fun Pare but its us two Manongs that are down here for the title and the Peras".

I was in the balcony directly above the tv table. And all I can say was that they were so loud that I could not here or concentrate on the match being played, and as a spectator and fan I feel it was terribly rude and disrespectful of the game and players.

Lets not forget the people who have the all important task of picking lint off the table every time the cue ball stops, The Lintpickers!!!!!!!

Since I was there in the stands, I can tell you, it was the Filipino contingency upstairs having fun from earlier, executing super difficult draw shots.
Since the group didn't recognize that their voices echo down, they get a pass.
Alex looked up but then went on to shoot.
There were far worse examples of unbecoming behaviour than happy, pool loving Filipino players.
The amateurs that walked right in front of people when they were down on a shot,
for example.

People just making a bid deal out of nothing. They won't be happy until watching pool is as boring as watching grass grow. Everyone needs to lighten up. Let the crowd get into it... hell, they might actually have fun!

I have no problem with people cheering loudly during a match. But even in the madhouse of the Mosconi Cup the fans are pretty good during the shot. In this case, it was not "the crowd" - it was a bunch of people who were yelling and screaming about things completely unrelated to the match and the timing was random to what was happening during the match.

Also, I think a key difference is that during a noisy environment (like a basketball game during freethrows or the chaos in the Philipine money matches) the shooter is used to the noise and it becomes backdrop, whereas when it is essentially silent and then there is a huge commotion, it does break the concentration.

Finally, what really made it unfair, IMHO, was that they were shooting with a shot clock, so Alex couldn't just stop until it settled down and he could refocus. Personally, I think that had Ken Shulman been acting as referee in the match, he would have stopped the match and the shot clock to sort it out.

Gideon<----Even if it didn't bug Alex, it bugged the spectators trying watch the match.

A pool player can't gamble in a casino when the casino and government isn't getting there cut.. fixed that for you lol

Oh no, the casino got it's cut because the pool players headed into the casino and spent their wad.

"F" Big Bro. He already takes 60% of every dollar spent in America. Enough is Enough.
.
Anyway, "They" were trying to hit the shot where the first object ball was on the left side long rail one diamond up from the pocket. The second object ball was in the jaws of the other corner at the same end. The CB was placed on the opposite end short rail one diamond off the left side long rail. Stroke the shot pocketing the first OB drawing back 3 rails pocketing the second OB.

Once again, great tournament and great venue. So much happening all the time to keep spectators busy.

Whenever crowd or big group of people hang out the noise level will be high
Maybe in heat of it all, the group did not realise that their voices and noises heard round the whole place. All it takes is for TD or official to tell them to cut down the noise
This is not as serious as diva players throwing tantrums, throwing cues

:D
