Rules playing the ghost???

Does the person that plays the ghost usually get ball in hand after the break?

Thats really not a bad question,,,I know,,,,cuz ,,I asked it!! The issue here ,,,,you asked it ,,, in a thread asking that very same thing!!! Pretty much right below the answer!!!!
If you ask again ,,,I will copy and paste the answer for you,,,and you will be at 20!!!
Or maybe you could just read the thread!!!

What exactly does playing the ghost mean? Does it mean that you have to run the table from the break or you lose?

I think you know the answer now ,,,but just to be sure.

Its a game best played when alone and best after missing several days worth of schizophrenic medication.
Start out breaking your own rack,,,no need to make a ball because its BIH after break, but then you run all the balls.
Its a very easy game but if you ever miss,,,,,,,it gets complicated. This is where the medication thing comes in!!! You must ,,,WAIT for the ghost to shoot ,,,,, wait for it!!!! Wait for it!!!!

lol. I'm not a very good smart azz. Sorry!!!

this is a real question...
I've done a search, maybe my searching sucks..

What is playing the ghost?
Is it simmilar to that game "99" that pool and billiard magazine used to run?
is there a point system?
you miss you lose?

I really don't know and am curious?

Basically, you play the ghost a race or, some people play ahead sets. You break and take ball in hand after the break. If you miss, the ghost wins that game. You break and again take ball in hand after the break. If you miss, the ghost wins another game. You can adjust the rules pretty much as you want. Some people play without taking ball in hand. Some don't count the nine on the break as a win and spot it up.
You can play the ghost any rotation game or even 8 ball if that's your poison.

Thanks for the clarification...
makes a little more sense, although how can you play safe? Its all agression playing the ghost?

The 'ghost' wins any time she gets a shot, so there are no safes, generally.

The 'generally' refeers to the fact that you can use any rules you want.

One option for safeties vs the ghost is this:

If you miss or play safe and leave the ghost a cut or bank (basically if the ghost can see the ball without kicking), you lose.
If you miss or play safe and leave the ghost a kick, the ghost played a safety on you. The ghost took your turn, and you're now playing the ghost's turn.

I like the option to practice safeties and kicks vs the ghost.

The ghost doesn't know how well most of us bank. Then, there is hit em hard theory when all else fails. The ghost should be afraid, very very afraid.

If you are kicking and have to make the ball, you should just probably pay the ghost and try again...coz nobody is the favorite to get out from a kick.

So I was confused. I still stand by my point. I hate reading a legit thread just to have somebody start posting about using the search button. If we always used the search we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

Are you always this much of a douche bag?

I am glad you are no longer confused...

Except about the search f(x). You do realize that if everybody who wanted to know what kind of cue Efren uses posted in the same thread then all the info would be assembled in a single location? That would make better than 500 threads on the same topic which, as you might imagine...

I am sorry you remain confused.
