This afternoon I was playing the 9 ball ghost on my table at home. About an hour into the session I dogged an easy shot on the 9 and lost the set. I decided to play again and when I went to break I was still steamed from missing the last shot I had taken. I rared back and really laid into it when I broke. The cue ball went flying off the table, bounced off the brick wall in my basement, and landed back on the pool table where it rolled to a stop. I know playing the ghost I have ball in hand after the break anyway, but if this were an actual match, whats the ruling? I know if one of the balls bounces up on top of the rail and rolls down it before returning to the bed it is legal. Is this any different?
