It wasn't you Marcus. It was Joe that suggested it wasn't a quality cue which is why I directed my response to him. I certainly wasn't bashing Joe, I know he has more knowledge than I have. I was merely suggesting that his assessment wasn't accurate and that upon inspection in person he may have a different opinion.
I'm not questioning you're knowledge of cues. I was simply asking what your definition of rare was. Again, to me something "rare" is something that is uncommon. Just curious, have you seen something like this before? If so, could you please share your experience with us?
I'm not gonna speak for Joe, but I took this:
I am a little perplexed. I have seen Adam points not attached to the handle and I have to say that the ones I saw rivaled any prongs I have seen stateside. They were almost touching at the base and the miter was right on the money. The veneer quality was very good, and the ebony was as black as coal.

As him complementing the cue.
His "thump chests over a real cue" comment, I don't feel was a shot a the cue at all. Just that a "discussion" like this would normally make more sense over a "bigger" cue. Let's say, like a "knock off" Balabushka or Szamboti.
