Runde Schon

It wasn't you Marcus. It was Joe that suggested it wasn't a quality cue which is why I directed my response to him. I certainly wasn't bashing Joe, I know he has more knowledge than I have. I was merely suggesting that his assessment wasn't accurate and that upon inspection in person he may have a different opinion.

I'm not questioning you're knowledge of cues. I was simply asking what your definition of rare was. Again, to me something "rare" is something that is uncommon. Just curious, have you seen something like this before? If so, could you please share your experience with us?

I'm not gonna speak for Joe, but I took this:
I am a little perplexed. I have seen Adam points not attached to the handle and I have to say that the ones I saw rivaled any prongs I have seen stateside. They were almost touching at the base and the miter was right on the money. The veneer quality was very good, and the ebony was as black as coal.

JV

As him complementing the cue.

His "thump chests over a real cue" comment, I don't feel was a shot a the cue at all. Just that a "discussion" like this would normally make more sense over a "bigger" cue. Let's say, like a "knock off" Balabushka or Szamboti.

Ok, can understand where we would take the meaning differently. I was only responding to the "thump chests" comment. It seemed at though he meant it was worthy of discussion.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. This cue is very by nice. It can easily stond on its own merits, forget about it being compared to a Schon. Lol

Cleiton has the cue now so I don't have a dog is this fight but I will say he is an honorable person to deal with. He originally thought it was a Runde Schon and wew made the deal based on that. After it was discovered it was not what he represented it to be, he offered to reverse the deal. It ended up that he received the cue back but gave me something else to replace it with. So it all worked out in the end.

no offense

You stated this cue is nicer and hits better than any schon you ever seen? I DONT KNOW HOW TO EVEN ANSWER THAT. ITS AS OUT THERE AS Evan being at schon before 92 .

You've responded to this thread twice and I'm not sure why. What are you referring to?

What I thought I made was a lighthearted jab as a bait to "get your goat".

Why should you lighten up? I would say: Why shouldn't you?

Is anybody seriously questioning whether you know anything?

It's an interesting cue, worth some discussion. Certainly not worth all the drama though.

.

Sorry, but I didn't take you asking if I knew anything about cues, as a "lighthearted jab". I don't know many people that would.

I agree that this isn't worth the drama, but I did feel that your post needed to be replied to.

I wish you guys luck in getting all the info you need/want about this cue.

Well....what's a little jab between friends? Perhaps I feel too friendly with some online acquaintances.

You replied...I get it. Never meant to tick you off but I did mean to "get your goat".....which I probably shouldn't have done.

I think the cue is very cool. The quality of the play is quite subjective but it has been reported to us to play very well.

I'll be interested to see what it turns out to be....if indeed it gets figured out......

I could use some help identifying this stick...I talked to the guy at Schon, sent him some pics but he never responded...looks like it might be a R6...but the silver rings and lack of a logo on the shafts point to an early version?
