Steve: He is on AZB. I sent a link to the high run guy. How strong is that 22,48 and 72 same night. He was out in New Jersey after qualifying at Red Shoes. I guess all those Ortmann runs were a good example.

His son is also on azb with about a 50 or something this year: "Indecisive." He was out in Jersey for the NCS and got on the tv table. I think he ran a 40 something against Gottier.

You should have come out to Comet to play with me, Rick, Bill, Bluepepper and Charlie.

dennis: you are lucky to be in an area where they play straight. here in texas it's all 9ball and one pocket. well, unless one is lucky and can catch dick lane at clicks in dallAss.

Yeah, I've seen a little of Dick Lane playing 14.1 on Accu-stats. Very nice game he has.

Chicago is no New York, but we've got a bit going here. 2 leagues down by me in the south suburbs with a total of 47 players (a little overlap). Danny D giving lessons the last few days. Bobby Hunter around a playing sometimes.
Not all bad.

Yeah I wish I was there, couldn't get the time away from work !

And I can agree with you on that About the run, the other night when I ran the 80 I must of ran over 30 at least 6 or 7 times and at that point I knew a really good run was coming so I just kept on shooting til it came.

And then after that I was mentally exhausted I couldn't make a ball !

Keep on shootin
Steve

i TRY to play the game relaxed but aware, to avoid mental fatigue. that's why i like watching gum-chewin mike segal. he plays without a worry in the world. i also think that a good rhythm helps in this regard.

Thanks for the video's man! it's always nice to watch pool played well but still at a level that us regular guys can achieve

I agree. In fact at this point I'd settle for a place that you could just play pool without having to use teeth protectors to help stop them from rattling out of your head from the ridiculous noise I heard one person call music in the two area rooms within reasonable driving distance.

Real pool rooms are pretty much a thing of the past it seems. A few generations removed from 14.1 too boot!
