A master cue builder and a great person. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Fortunately he will have just as many friends with him now as he ever had here.
Rest in peace Mr. Scruggs

Very sad day, I only spoke to Tim on a few occasions but he was always a pleasure to deal with. I have played with several different TS cues over the years but bought the cue I am currently using about 12 years ago and will never play with another cue as long as I play this game. His craftsmanship was world class. Prayers to his family and friends, RIP Tim Scruggs, the billiards industry lost one of its best.

Wow, I am in shock. I was just thinking about him, I just found a box of slides taken of him and his shop in like 1981. They are sitting here on my desk right now and I was looking on line trying to find how to get them on my computer so I can post them.

This is very sad.

Looking forward to these pictures, Mac.

Rest in peace, Mr Scruggs

Very sad..Timmy was truely a gentleman and a supereb cue maker..

I had the privilege of speaking to Mr. Scruggs on two occasions. Learned so much from him, just in those two conversations. He showed me more respect than I possibly deserved, as he had earned my respect.
Tim Scruggs, now in a better place.
Restful Peace.

Sad news indeed.

Wow I am shocked and sadden to hear this terrible news. Tim and Mike were two of the best guys and cuemakers. The pool world has lost yet another legend. RIP Mr. Scruggs.

I was just getting ready to go to a place where I may be able to put them on a disk or flash drive. looks like I have about 25. The date on the slides says Apr 81.

It is odd, I have been looking for these for the longest time along with a lot of tournaments pictures. A few days ago I found them all over the floor in the hallway. One of the cats must have pulled the box down off a shelf. Then as I was looking at them today, I see the posting about Tim.

What terrible news to read.....how terrible it has to be for everyone that personally knew Tim, let alone hs family and loved ones. I recently lost a best friend, Jay Harris, and so I have some small sense of the hurt and sorrow that ensues.......I never had the privilege of meeting Tim Scruggs........I've held him in the highest regard as a cue-maker..........I'm proud to own one of his cues..........it's really sad to learn about Tim's passing and I will offer prayers for his dearly departed soul..........I know Tim will be welcomed into paradise with a choir of Angels and all my family best friends......May Tim be remembered for all time......I will cherish my TS cue and now the thought of ever parting with it seems impossible.

I remember Tim fondly

I bought my first custom cue from Tim back in 1986.. I ordered it by phone and went to his shop to pick it up. Nothing fancy. No points, etc. Just a basic cue to hit balls in bar leagues. He was a nice guy and spent time with me like I was buying a cue worth $1,000's.

best hitting cues ive ever played with. true cuemaker, one of the greats. never met him but he's always been mentioned with nothing but good words. sad day in pool indeed. let the tim scruggs cue frenzy begin. RIP.
