Nice drill. My safety game needs some work and I have been looking for drills to help me see safety opportunities as well as I see makeable shots. Please post more if you know of any.

When I practice nine ball, I play out the game as if I am my own opponent. I'll run what can be run and do safety battle until a shot is left and play the rack out. This has helped with the safety play and kicking, however I am running a lot more of the racks so the amount of practice at safety play has diminished. I'm open to any suggestions for practice ideas in this area.

Alex is a top notch professional who decided to go with studies many years ago. Huge huge knowledge within him including serious capabilities in making anyone in the world sweat on a table against him.
Hope you'll return to Finland again so I can attend one of your training camps, Alex.

Put the cue ball and 2 object balls on the table. Hit one, get behind the other. Get a point if successful. Opponent gets a point if he kicks and hits. If he kicks safe he gets 2 points. Back and forth. Play to 21.

Used to do it for hours. MASSIVE improvement in cueball control.

Thank you for sharing. I'm going to forward this to my teammates and see if they want to practice this tonight.
