Sanderson vs Pineger U.S. open 2026

Has anyone have a link to this 2.5 hour match? It has lit up facebook and reddit with controversy.
You can see on the scoring site that they played on table 16. Only tables 1, 2, 3, and 4 were streamed.

According to a friend who watched the match, Pinegar should have been disqualified out of the match for multiple reasons.

He was being himself I 2-3 years ago at the Hopkins Expo on the pro-am tournament. (Open to any human, played on barbox). I think they were down to the last 4 or last 8 players, and the ref penalized him 1 game. I can't remember what his infraction was in this case, but one of the many typical crap he does.

I can’t watch him. He’s psychotic and pathetically slow.

On the streaming point, there was a TikTok stream sometimes on an outer table. They had some of the Vietnamese players on it and at least part of a Pagulayan match.

On the second point, I’m sure that’s true and I wish they would have had the guts to do it. I heard 3 of his 4 opponents complained to Matchroom about him - wonder if they will do anything going forward.

I’m half surprised MR hasn’t made him a villain to gain media hits.

They could probably spin it in a way that fans wouldn’t have to watch his slow azz, but only show the highlights of his annoyances.

I guess he’s really “that bad” that they want zero to do with him.

years ago (probably 2013) I watched him play Corey Deuel in Vegas at the US Open 10 Ball. He was pulling his normal shenanigans- complaining mainly about Corey's racking and breaking (which in this even was totally unwarranted- I didn't see Corey pull any tricks). I was cheering for Corey because he is one of my favorite players, not because I particularly disliked Pinegar (I was unaware of his poor behavior before this match). He got angry at me for cheering on Corey- I thought he was quite out of line considering I said nothing negative about him nor did I ever shark him. Quite a strange guy.

A few of the pro's chimed in on this topic....

In the entire billiards world, I only hate one player, guess who 😉 There are a few cheaters and unfair players, but there's only one biggest dick. At every tournament I pray to get this „player” in the draw Sorry for you pal 🙏

Pal best thing do with him is tell him let’s go outside as soon as he starts biggest scumbag in pool. Tried it with me few times I told him straight try anything like that again you going get smashed he’s horrible person.

It’s truly incredible he’s allowed to play all these events. He’s a fantastic player also. So he’s difficult to play as it is. He’s the only player I’ve had issues with. It’s consistent and I’m known as a decent fella as are you Elliott Sanderson. I own a poolroom. If I have a client that’s causing trouble, quite simply, I ban them. Problem solved. I’ve done it to tons of folks for multiple reasons. Emily Frazer, the pool players are YOUR clients. It’s fairly unanimous that he’s an issue. I also mentioned that I will personally pay for HIS entry fee so he’s not at any event I’m playing at. That way, there won’t be a lack of prize money.
