Nice looking cues but didn’t Sang Lee play billiards.

Yeah I guess it’s odd. Those cues look good. Why is it that carom cues tend to have player’s signatures more than pool cues. Longoni’s top models being the best example probably. I have a Schuler Richard Bitalis model. I kind of don’t like the player signature idea though. Cuetec SVB an example on the pool side. I guess it doesn’t make the cue a no go for me. But all things being equal I prefer no signature.

I always wondered if there was any actual difference between the pool cues & carom cues in the Sang Lee line...or if it was just the shaft.

Anybody know?

I have a radial shaft that I can use on a pool butt or a carom butt and I don't like it with the pool butt.

The 'Golden Cue' on Walton off of Rush st. in Chicago had Worst 4'x8' tables.

And they were the 'Worst' tables to play on!

The bed of the tables was not even slate!
The cues weren’t so hot either….but I still wish I had bought some…when you’re a kid you tend to not regard posterity.

I always found these weird too. A line of pool cues named after a 3c player. WTF.

When these came out a couple of years ago, they were marketed, distributed by Predator Carom (CRM) towards 3 cushion players. Cues came in two joint styles, can be used with either Predator's 3 cushion shafts which shorter and have a different shaft profile, or ones for pool. The butterflies were inspired by Sang Lee's playing cues that the family own. Just like the line named after Dani Sanchez, Sang Lee's family gets a licensing fee. My recollection this was a limited run, low production numbers of 150 or 300, sold out within months. The version posted has leather wraps, addition of a non-butterfly which I never seen, so it could be a new production run.
