I know it is a little early but I would like to get a few opinions on hotels for the upcoming Super Billiards Expo, I know it is in a diff place this year, Greater Phil. Expo center at Oaks. What is the closest hotel ? anyone from the area, let me know, thanks

Thats was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Serious...just dirty and nasty. I would rather sleep in my car lol

Hilton sucks a big weanie. Had to walk miles and miles down hallways lugging suitcases to get to our room. Expensive and not worth it, IMO.

I've always been partial to Marriotts and Hampton Inns when on the road, though I've never stayed at one near SBE.

If you aren't going to be hanging out in your room, then you may be willing to sacrifice some amenities.

When we were traveling frequently, I always relied on Trip Advisor, and they never steered me wrong: Trip Advisor Top 10 List

You should look into the Staybridge Suites nearby......it was unbelievably cheap, clean and spacious and 6 of us stayed there last year.......plus you get free dinner each night and free breakfast each morning.......

This year I stayed at Hyatt Place. Free breakfast, and the rooms were large, comfortable, and came with 32" HDTV. The TV came in handy when hooked up to my computer to watch video streaming.

I was always very happy staying at the Fairfield Inn and suites but it seems like its about 7 miles away with the location change. Ill be looking for somewhere closer this year.

drug deals and prostitues... lol my brother in law lived near by and when I told him I stayed there last year he said are you nuts! lol that place is in the news all the time for drug busts.. It was really dirty and I don't mind smoke and actually my wife is a smoker and it gagged you when you were in the rooms lol

Very nice hotels! I've stayed there on business trips.

Please define "unbelievably cheap". The Staybridge Suites I have stayed in were VERY nice, but in the $120-$140 range (which I guess is cheap if you live in NYC).

Hi

Hampton Inn Suites is only $89 if you book early, and it is on the same street as the new SBE, within 1/2 mile

If hotels are booked up....

Try to not book through the hotel itself. Use an online service, a lot of the times hotels will set aside a block of rooms for sale through their affiliates, so if a hotel is booked try one of the online sites that offers deals on hotels, they may be able to book it for you...

Any ideas which are the better sites I check?

Made my reservations a few weeks ago. Nice place stayed there twice before, $69 a night for a room with 2 queens beds is the rate i got

Thats where I stayed year before last and it was all that we needed and I would have given $50 for the shower head, it was the best thing since sliced bread.--Leonard
