Okay, here it is 3 weeks til SBE and I did it again (happened 2 yrs ago).

Usually, I am mega organized and on top of stuff like this but, to be honest, I wasn't sure that I'd be attending this years expo. But now I am and have no room booked.

So having just made the decision, one or two friends and myself will be needing a room and just thought I would put it out there in case someone may have booked an extra.

Seems like the two desirable ones, Comfort Inn and Courtyard are sold out. Others in the area have reverted back to full retail $200+ per night.

Anyone having info on a room with a good rate please let me know.

Any other Info / Guidance / Advice / I Told You So's, will be greatly appreciated. :embarrassed2:

are you driving or flying? booked through expedia room and flight for 800 bucks...
 
homestead suites 81 bucks a night....on expedia...not the best but with in 10 minutes of expo...

I might have something in Courtyard Just under $500 for Wed Thurs & Friday night.
It comes to $149/Night plus Taxes & fee's.
Thats If my son don't take it, Let me know if interested or you find something.
 
Going through booking.com, I found a room with "extra large double" and a sofa bed for $327 (total less tax) for the 3 nights Thu-Sat at Courtyard (1000 Drummers Lane). If you want breakfast, it's about an extra $20/day.
 
Brian Brian Brian how often do I need to look out for ya...

I have a scantacon 2 bed reservation. It comes with the booth (albeit at extra cost) but a reduced rate. You know you can have the room if you're in a jam. I was hoping to sell the reservation to a high roller but not at the expense of doing right by a friend. Let me know if you still need an assist and we can work out the details.
 
Guess that you're lucky that PT and myself won't be showing up then.
With the extra expense, it doesn't sound like you could afford two prime ribs for us guys.

Other than that, hope you get something close and have a great time.

Ya know, theres always Clash two that you could be saving for.
If you and Sean show up in Toronto next November, I'll spring for prime rib no matter who wins.

FWIW, Homestead is about a mile down the road from the old SBE location. Its was very convenient with a bus stop, or if you can tolerate a 20 minute walk.

I wonder what hotel did SBE recommend to their vendors? One of the advantage for the vendors was getting first dibs at room reservations at the Scanticon, which was attached to the center. So, they didn't need a car to get to/from the center.

Hey Brian, let me know what you find for good rates. Looks like I'm going for the whole event and don't have a room yet. I was only planning on going friday and maybe saturday but now have an interesting offer to make it worth my while to go the entire show.
