Unfortunately, Randall Keech (ebay-nick: rk-ponyman, have a look at his feedback) scamed me with a black creek cue! http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7165945156
Beware of this seller!

I payed for the cue (Juli, 2nd) via paypal, and some days later, the seller told me that the cue had been sent. I asked for a tracking number, but never recieved one.
After i had sent several mails without reply, to locate my cue, i gave him the look-out, that i´d accuse him for scaming on ebay and trying to get my money back from paypal.
He replied, that he had evidences that i must have recieved the cue, and that my impudent accusation will be reported to ebay.

A few weeks later, i recieved this email (after i sent an unambiguous reply):
„dear sir,
i regret to inform you that i made a shipping error and sent your cue to the wrong place, and it was jsut returned to me, i am soo sorry for this inconvienience. i can refund the money to you now or send it asap. i sold multiple cues at once and sent them promptly, but i messed up and shipped yours too. please, let me know and resend your shipping info. i apologize for the inconvieneince, call me at (616)437-xxxx randal“

I answered him the same day, sending him shipping infos and asking for a tracking number again.
I never got any further answer,neither saw my cue and he hasn´t refunded my money yet.
Now it´s too late for a refund from paypal, so i placed a negative feedback for this transaction.
And now this guy has the impertinence to accuse german parcel service for his faults.

For my trustworthiness, please check my ebay feedback (nick: clashbillard).


Please let this be a lesson to you all!

i and others have had good dealings with randall / rk-ponyman.
i'm sure in the end, given a chance, he will make things right.

Maybe You Should Blame The German Custom Service

I Don't Defend Many People, But I Will Defend Randy Keech. He Has E-mailed Proof To The Buyer That The Cue Was Shipped To Him, And Is Being Delayed By The German Postal Service. Randy Admitted To Shipping It To The Wrong Place, But Resolved The Situatuion And Re-shipped The Cue. Taking The Word Of Someone With Two Posts, Is Hard For Me To Do. Ecspecially Considering, I Have Dealt With Randy A Few Times With Absolutely No Problems At All.

If He Tells He He Sent The Cue, I 100% Believe That He Sent The Cue.

Just My 2 Cents, But I Feel I've Done Enough Deals To Know Who The Con-men Are, Are Randy Is Certainly Not One Of Them.

Well, it's been 3-months since the auction ended - how much time do ya think he needs to make it right??

It really pains me to read about crap like this. I've sold cues to Alberto and evn with the International considerations (money, shipping, etc.) he's a true pleasure to deal with.

On the other hand, I maintain a "LIST" of people that I should never deal with, and guess who is on that list? Yep, rk-ponyman

Don't ask why he's on the list, cause I don't know. Judging from the placement on the list, he's been on there about a year - but that's just an estimate. I keep the list as succinct as possible, almost cryptic, just to avoid double-guessing. But I never, ever make exceptions. So for me to add a name to this "personal black list", I make sure there's damn good reasons. (A couple people whining about a given transaction is nowhere near enough reason.) For example, the infamous one-eyed Schon deal? THAT got their names added (just the seller, of course).

And NO, I won't share this list with anyone. It's just another way that I try to ensure safe buying & selling, on & off of Ebay.

Anyways - we'll keep our fingers crossed for you, Alberto. Keep the pressure on ponyman.

Please Educate me, you Paid through PAYPAL, but used your Credit Card.

Why not not notify your Credit Card Company, you did not get what you paid for, put the charge in Dispute for the item, shipping, etc.

Than let your Credit Card Company HELP you with your FIGHT....

Sorry if my point was too subtle for you. This is undoubtedly not the first tiime someone has been royally screwed by rk-ponyman, otherwise my PRIVATE LIST wouldn't include his ebay ID.

I know you've been defending rk-ponyman throughout this thread, and that's certainly your right. You wrote that you've had good dealings with him. Fine, no one questioned the who, what, where & why. I was simply pointing out that his current actions of ripping off Alberto (to date) is not the first time that he's exhibited this behavior.

I don't need - or even want - to remember why I decide not to deal with someone. It's a personal decision based on numerous data points.

But let's not lose sight of the essence of this thread. it's not about my list, or your making excuses for a seller that has yet to do the right thing. It's certainly not about your blame shifting, or clouding the issue by disecting my posts, or justabrakes response.

This thread is about an ebay seller (rk-ponyman), who has had 3-months to send a cue or issue a refund. He has sent 2 replies to Alberto, both with totally different and conflicting excuses. Your response was "in the end, I'm sure he will make it right".

It is the end. Alberto has not posted an update about receiving the cue or a refund. Regardless of how many good experiences you claim to have had with the seller, Alberto has been ripped off.

If you don't like my posts, or the obvious fact that I am 100% in Alberto's camp and will do anything possible to ensure that rk-ponyman doesn't rip off another AZer, then start another thread.

i didnt disect your post or shift blame. i merely pointed out that it is wrong to make a statement about someone in a public forum and not present evidence to back up your claim. and then you even admit you don't know why you are making the claim.

Fair enough. But please understand that my only claim was that he's on my list. That's exactly why i don't keep detailed explanations. I have never had any personal dealings with rk-pony man and it would be totally unfair to post details about someone elses experience with a Seller.

If I exercised poor judgement in making reference to my little black list, please accept my apology. It won't be mentioned again. Like many others here, I am sensitive to the number of real cue scams on Ebay, and firmly believe these scams are contributing to the soft cue market - especially the secondary market.

I only hope that the cue shows up in Germany or he does eventually issue a refund to Alberto.
 
This whole thread is pretty jacked up.

If the E-bay dude really did do as he said, why has he not replied back on this thread since he knows of it's existance?

Seems something fishey is going on....

Threads like this make me leary of buying an exspensive cue online unless the person has an actuall buisness or store.

I just sold my Runde Schon on here to a member last week and felt bad that when I got home from work the Certified funds were already there and I could not drop the cue off and insure it till the next day, and then PM'd all the info to him the day I shipped it out.

That's the way it works, you stay in contact, insure everything, and if it goes wrong, you stay in contact untill things are right.....

Because of the Online Motorcycle Club I am in, I have a conection in every major city in the US, and all over the world as well. I swear if someone every screwed me on an online sale and a few weeks go buy with no resolution to the debacle, I'll have someone show up in person and get the issue settled for me.....

$500.00 is nothing to make lite off. Some of us work too much for our money and have too many financial obligations "kids/house/buisness" to get screwed over that kind of ca$h....

I hope this matter gets resolved soon. But if the seller keeps eluding the buyer, it's fairly obvious what happened.

i dare say i would always have a problem buying a cue from ebay,,,,simply because i want to see and touch my cues. 33 feedbacks and 97% sucks, if you ask me.

Have a look in Albertos feedbacks... I think he knows something about cues... And 33 and 97% is after his feedback, before it was 32 and 100%...

Alberto I´m 100% in your camp and really hope that there is a resolution... Keep us uptodate.
