Thoughts from the gallery?

I thought I would throw this out since it is "Almost Post Time". I love that line.

I think it's a pick'em. Maybe a slight edge to Sigel. He's a straight pool legend and has run 150 and out during tournament play.

The only chance Mike Sigel has of a close game is if John Schmidt doesn't show up.

Doesn't anyone remember who won the last time these two met?

And NO, I don't bet on exhibition matches.

If it were a REAL match.. Sigel don't 90. in a race to 150

Few would disagree that Schmidt is the favorite- but it's a slight favorite based on the shortness of the race. Nearly a pick'm.

I'll take 2:1 and Sigel. Cheap $50:25? Anyone? I don't have a paypal, but check or money order mailed is fine also.

I think this race to 100 is a pick 'em. Whoever comes out of the gate on a roll could sail to the finish line first, without the opponent ever firing the first shot.

Just a prediction...

It's not that extreme. Schmidt is the favorite no doubt, but he's not a 150-90 favorite. Mike has 100+ runs really often and has run over 200 pretty recently as well. I would guess it's a 150-120 game.

I'll take Sigel with weight: either slight odds or ball spot in a race to 125.

I'd love to know what Sigel's high run would have been for his career with Super Aramith balls and Simonis cloth. I know John's run over 400, but the newer equipment has made the game a little easier. Break shots seem to spread a little better with the faster cloth and heavier balls.

JS has to be the favorite in this game, but dont count Sigel out. He is a real competitor and 14.1 was his best game. I think if anyone is giving up odds, the action is real close. 6/5 might be a good handicap but I honestly think its a hair more, like 7/5.

The time listed is 8:00pm. Is that for this match, or for the main match?

Mike's interview about the Match with Schmidt

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1bg5xpjiEI&feature=user

Geezy peezy, Mike said he will be commentating Tony's match against Karl.

He then says he don't know if Tony has been playing in recent times.

Doesn't Mike know that Tony runs the Predator tour and is actively competing?

Then he says he doesn't know if Tony can fare well in 14.1, and the InsidePOOL anchor lady has to remind Mike that Tony will be playing 8-ball in this match-up.

Mike Sigel, do your homework! :embarrassed2:

Ill take JS and Karl Boyes for $100.

both guys have to win for their to be a winning bet. PM me if anyone is interested.

In the interview, Mike also mentioned they were playing to 125. Can anyone confirm this since it seems he was suffering from serious jet lag. Also, based on that interview John Schmidt is my new pick to win this match. :smile-us-down:
