My favorite quote from Sigel in regards to his match tonight:

"He could be the worst player in the World, or the best player in the World, and I still feel it's a coin flip."

Basically he's saying the worst player in the World would be even odds to beat him. :confused: :confused:

Sorry Roadkill, that's not what he means. I appreciate your point and it's logical. In fact, you might even say that Mike didn't make sense. He WASN'T very sharp about the game to be played in the main event either.

Sigel is supremely confident in his 14.1 game. Between Mike and John, whoever get's the first makeable shot with an angle for a breakout to continue could easily win at that point or simply control the game from there on out. 125 pts is a short game in Straight Pool. It would be 150 in a tourney final and probably even more if they were gambling. This is just an exhibition match as an undercard to the main event. Never mind that more people are interested in it's outcome than the Eight Ball.

If you ever saw Mike's 150 and out against Mike Zugland you would see what is perhaps the most perfect 150 ever filmed. It's close to flawless. He never banks one ball. He only gets out of line about twice. He shoots only one hard shot. I love John Schmidt's 14.1 efforts and he's a great Champion, but he can't play 14.1 and pattern his balls like Sigel could in his prime. Does that mean that Sigel can do that tonight ? Nope, but he may still run a lot of balls. Or John may not let him shoot ! Flip a coin. That's what Mike meant...Tom

Yeah...I figured he just had a little jet lag. Weenie Beenie first told me about the Zulgan match during one of our practice seesions. He encouraged me to get the video.

It's one of my all time favorite Accustats tapes.

I think you may have misunderstood part of the interview. Mike was talking about Karl when he said he did not know how well he would fair in straight pool. He even said that he would give the edge to Tony in that match. Of course they aren't even playing straight pool, and as you correctly pointed out Mike is not very informed.

I have no idea why but it sounds like Sigel has a problem w/ all that Tony does???? :confused: Who dont like Tony???? :confused:
