Scott Frost vs Ronnie Allen in his prime

Free country and open forum. Life is too short man. If he has done you so wrong why not do something about it? Crying endlessly on the forums only makes people think you are crazy and bitter and won't let it go. At times your input is meaningful but only after one sifts through all the garbage. Carry on..

If you are referring to Mr3c and I, it is not 'venom'..it is pure hatred !..If you knew the whole story, you would feel exactly the same way I do !...But you obviously don't, so staying out of it would be appreciated ! :o

SJD--(besides, there is no known cure for HIS condition !)

"Crazy and bitter"???...Can't you read ?..Have you ever been to the 1P site ?...How can you call defending myself, and TRYING to embarrass him, 'crying, or whining' ?..What is your stake in this anyway?...But, thats OK, he does need help...ALL his other [sic] 'friends',(1) have deserted him ! :sorry:

So, Carry on.. if it makes you feel better !

Just put it in a balloon and watch it float away then breath in and out.....

I played with Artie as a partner and against him at Fatboys mansion for a few months. We played cheap but we all tried really hard to win, for bragging rights lol ! I've played one pocket for ever and I feel like I know 99% of the correct shots to shoot from watching and playing some of the greats throughout the years. I've had many battles with Sonny Springer growing up in Memphis. All that being said, Artie showed me several shots playing safe and moving balls that I guaranttee that most champions don't know. I believe that Artie moved better than any living human in the game. I've seen it first hand. If he played Ronnie on a neautral table my money is on Ronnie but Iv'e made bad bets before lmao. I've just seen Ronnie play so good I just can't bet against him. I asked Artie why he thought he beat all those guys and he said he used to play mistake free one hole, I believed him. This is just my honest humble opinion :)

Dick, What you don't realize id I'm not trying to make a comeback at you. I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm only trying to help you see the light and hopefully you can glean something from my comments. Life is too short to hold the grudges you hold. You have to learn to let things go..

No need to respond because I will unsubscribe.

Wow! No way to compete with that..Have been taking 'clever comeback' lessons from Mr. 3-IQ ? :sorry:

Mr. H..Just curious..Why are you trying to lecture, or help ME ?....Mr.3** needs help MUCH more than I do !...I saw the 'light', (with people like him) 70 years ago !..Fortunately, few people believe his never ending lies, and false aspersions!..Being fairly new at expressing myself via the written word, I'm sure I've made some mistakes, but, how do you just ignore an illiterate person who has it in for you, on an open forum ?..So I do admit, it is very aggravating !

But, thanks for your concern..I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, that you meant well !

Adios

I can certainly understand how that can be aggravating when someone does you wrong and then continues to pummel you on an open forum.

To answer your first question, you are the only one who has responded to my comments. Mr.3C has not. So he is possibly sitting back and enjoying the show which may be what his intentions were all along. But I'm only speculating.

When you continue to fight back on the forums they got you in a trap! You see yourself defending your good name but some other or even many others see it and think negatively about you even though you may very well be in the right.

That leads me to my next point. I will quote the late great Dale Carnegie and say "The best way to win an argument is to avoid it".

I will also say you have a way with words and writing. It's apparent you are very well versed and educated. If someone with your life experience and billiards expertise could redirect all that energy God only knows what good you could achieve.

Cheers,
Mark

To answer your first question, you are the only one who has responded to my comments. Mr.3C has not.<--He's getting smarter ! ..So he is possibly sitting back and enjoying the show which may be what his intentions were all along. But I'm only speculating. <--I'm sure you are wrong there..He is definitely NOT smart enough for that ! :o

When you continue to fight back on the forums they got you in a trap! You see yourself defending your good name but some other or even many others see it and think negatively about you even though you may very well be in the right.<--That was certainly not the consensus at 1P.org...He soon reached 'pariah' status over there with almost all the intelligent members !..Many did not wish to get involved openly, but my PM box was always flooded with well-wisher's !

That leads me to my next point. I will quote the late great Dale Carnegie and say "The best way to win an argument is to avoid it". <--Ya gotta wonder how many pool forum's old Dale ventured onto ?..
..AZB might have turned him into the 'Marquis de Sade' _D

Thanks, but I'm content with what little I have achieved in my life..Most of it outside pool !..Not much more 'achievin' left to do now ;).... I do have one major goal though, now that I'm single....I would love to get Jennifer Aniston in the sack, before she gets too old ! :p

Adios,
Dick

PS..H-man..You must know my Houston bud, Rodney Steven's don't you ?...He was one who stood up for me on the open forum quite often ! Rod's a man of few words...Many of the digs he fired at "you know who", sailed right over his head anyway !

Bobby; when a player moves as good as Artie did and many times to perfection. It turns those pretty strokes to wet spaghetti and makes running balls like running under water! It's pretty tough to try and start your inning every time, frozen, jacked up or both to the end rail or stack!

P.S. Like 'Bugs' said,' 'in a 5 ahead match, RA would have been throwing his cue on the floor!'

Couldn't help but notice, based on his experience, Cotton still picked RA to win, over AB !..Having played RA way more than Bobby, its good to see he does KNOW which way to bet !....Something some self-proclaimed, 'expert' handicapper's don't seem to realize is, that player's of RA's caliber, will ALWAYS adjust to whatever a 'squeeze' oriented player tries to put on them..Its all about controlling the table !

In other words, it becomes quite difficult to play "perfect mistake-free" one pocket, when you find you are often froze on the end rail, 8' away yourself, and the guy you are playing, can run 10 and out, (even [sic] underwater) easier than you can run 6 or 7 !..MOST people (including AB) knew that, but his fanboy's refuse to admit it!
..Truth be known, thats why they could never match up, WITHOUT AB needing weight !..And yes, Artie was definitely smart enough to see that ! :o

SJD

PS..RA did NOT have a pretty stroke !..But it was every bit as effective as Efren's, or anyone else ! ..And it took an awful lot, to turn it into 'spaghetti'! :p

No it was the same Artie from what I was told, I believe he gave him 10-6 or 11-5, maybe I am mistaken.

Maybe Scott can come here and speak for himself! On the topic of this thread and HIS thoughts on RA and Artie's game!

Here's how Artie looked in His prime, this is the ONLY known video of Artie hitting balls, back in the day!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbIgMzAXaU0

It wasn't THIS Artie when they played, I can guarantee you that!

I do believe Scott Frost also played Artie at one time giving him a spot and won.

Lenny, I think you're doing the apples and oranges thing again.

If Scott , in his prime, played Artie in his prime, do you really think there would be any
weight involved?

And I think Ronnie, IN HIS PRIME, gets the cash over everybody at one-hole.

And as an all-round player, the only man that could hang with Ronnie was Harold Worst.

But prime vs prime is the only thing that makes sense in judging players from different eras.

NO ONE wanted ANY of Harold Worst's action back then, NO ONE!

He was the MOST feared and intimidating player of His era, BAR NONE!

I agree PT...I think m'bud Lenny, is full of beans !..As has often been noted, RA and AB never played. (prime or otherwise)..Much has been made of one isolated incident, where they 'almost' played...But Artie's fanboys have beat that to death !..They can't quite seem to admit, that AB, was insisting on getting weight ! :sorry:

As for Scott and Artie playing...wrong generations !...Later in life, Artie would have needed the same game from Scott, that Henderson lost at (10 to 5)..Interesting video though, great seeing a young Artie ! (I see he learned to 'brag', very early on)..However, I saw NO shots, that Cocabola Cowboy couldn't have duplicated ??? ;)

Late Edit; I could be mistaken, (not likely) but I do believe in the late 60's at Johnston City, when RA was challenging ANYONE to play one pocket, Harold Worst was in the room ???--I would also say, that had they played, it would have been a very tough match for RA..I am a long time Worst fan myself, but, the only thing that may have allowed RA to prevail, was Worst's inexperience at one pocket !...(So, I guess I would have to leave that up to the "expert" 1P handicapper's)

YOU mean as 'usual!'! The ONLY time Harold played in Johnston City was, (1965) He won the 'All Around!'

He died in 1966! You should be :o

This ONLY proves YOU weren't at too many of those events!

My ONLY mistake was..I should have said "Mid-60's"....But don't stop your trolling !...I'm sure you'll keep 'grasping at straws' !...I am glad I finally got you to quote me at SOMETHING !
....You have been AWOL, in almost all these threads !...Thats understandable though, because most were offers to bet you big $$$, YOU were wrong ! ;) :p

PS..Heres another one for you !..Would you like to wager that 1965, was NOT the only year Harold Worst attended Johnston City ???
