SCOTUS legalizes sports gambling - new pool sponsors?

I was talking with Harry Plattis, Seattle Lawyer at Derby city this years. He's been instrumental in getting this done. He told me at this years DCC event, that he's been working on this for 7 years.

The case arose out of New Jersey's efforts to legalize sports betting. How was Harry Platis instrumental and in what capacity has he been working on this for 7 years? I'm not saying it's untrue, but it smells fishy to me. Why would New Jersey need help from a Seattle personal injury attorney to mount a major constitutional challenge to a gambling law?

such a non issue imo, lol

I've lived in a sports gambling region since legalization decades ago, places like the uk and elsewhere have lived this for the better part of a century

so ironic that all the traditional domains of "criminals, street gangs, and organized crime"
all becoming legal the world over

guns, alchohol, drugs, gambling, sex trade

The last time Vegas gave odds on pool the players dumped thus killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

Not going to change a thing.

True and if it didn't then it wouldn't take it long to happen. The lure of a fast buck is way too great for most.

In fact a law change could end up being the absolute worst thing for a lot of sports for the same reason.

Google parimutual gaming, read the website then you'll understand. Platis has all of the pieces in place and has had for years, just waiting.

Since it's important to you, call em. He's easy to find. Was McCready's backer for years.

Living in Colorado we already have Casino gambling, concealed carry and legal pot.

Now we might have legal sports gambling?
It just keeps getting better.
Just more winning.
Fire up a joint, play the slots and bet on the Broncos.

Living in NJ we have Casino gambling but people are High if they think we will ever have concealed carry LOL (I support it )

He told me, Vegas was the culprit, keeping this under the hat and controlling gambling from NV, not now. Cats out of the bag.

Maybe Vegas will go back to being a relatively cheap getaway, and not just for people who have a couple of grand to blow... Competition is always good.

I don't think it will change anything, Anybody in the pool world knows they make savers and that's ok by me , I would too.
But it isn't going to promote gambling on pool.
Also too many instances of collusion , corruption and shenanigans.
Those things are in every sport , but pool players don't seem to be able to keep quiet.

I can verify that Harry Platis has been working on this issue for at least 10 years. He has spoken to Keith about it throughout this time. Though I don't know all the details -- well, I know a little bit -- they just spoke a few days ago again about it.

Something about Bitcoin too, but I'm not sure how it ties in.

I bet you're right about that.

If it ever does, I just might return. I miss the old Vegas.

There's always a negative with every silver lining

I think I figured out why Vegas went from an adult playground to basically a family Disneyland: The "adults" went from becoming adults to staying children. The adults changed first so Vegas had to change with 'em.

Whadda ya think of that theory?

BINGO, + 5G + a trusted entity will find a lot to play with this new America emerging.
What will be the break out discipline for such a new future is the missing cog.
