Scratch on ss joint??

How do you guys remove scratch on ss joint and keep it shiny? Tks

To elaborate just a bit. The advice of 'get thee to a cue guy' is based
on the fact that this is a pretty easy fix, IF you have a lathe to
spin the cue fast. It is also easy to protect the part behind the SS
so you don't harm the finish. Both are a challange if one would
try polishing out the scratch by hand.

It may be an easy fix with the right tools, but if you mess it up it WILL cost you more money, time and agravation. I would take this one to a competent cue repair person. It's kind of like when a guy decides to save a few bucks re-roofing his house, but ends up falling of the second story and becomes injured for life. How much did he really save? Penny wise and pound foolish. Just some thing to think about.

Guys, the location Im in the nearest cuemaker is 500miles away ie. Bandido(E.Reyes), And I can only get there by plane or ship. So I don't have the luxury as most you guys have.:(

Anyway thanks to Kevin Varney and Pdcues. I try it out on my older cue 1st. If it work out, I try it out on the cue that I intend repairing on. Once again tks.

you could always just send the cue.

Why don't you post a picture of the scratch? If minor thats one thing, if it is real bad that's a different story.
