Searing taking offers

Bob... Really?

How can YOU possibly compare value of a Searing to a Sly? Do you ever stop campaigning?

I used to have so much respect for you, I just don't understand. It is so blatant with every single post.

Never compared value of a Sly to Searing. Only said that the Sly sneakys have a reputation of playing REAL GOOD at about $1,200.00 less in price on the secondary market. Sorry that you don't like Leon. I am losing respect for your Sly bashing too. It's so blatent.

I'm no Searing expert, but even I know that is not a Searing. Nothing about that cue tells me that it is a Searing.

I haven't had enough Searings either, none of us have. I do think I have seen Dennis use those rings (don't know about the pin). if he did make the cue it would be a conversion because he did not for sure make the splice. I'm sure it would easy enough to find out.

What's not so easy to know is:

a) does the seller have the cue ?

and

b) would he send it to you if you paid him?

If it is a Searing, the owner for sure didn't know. I'm ready to bet no Searing owner would abuse his cue like that.

Thanks

Kevin

Have you seen the prices of a Searing conversion. They go for around 3k. This Sly (which looks very nice by the way) is listed at $425.

I am not a mathematician, however that is slightly more than $1,200...

But if you have a Searing conversion for $1,600 I will send cash your way. Or should I just send it to Leon?

I do not have an issue with Leon other than his slight arrogance on occassion and the fact that he mentioned "the other pool site". Here are his words. The few he decided not to delete.

call me john i'm still up!! I was just over on the other site reading all that $hit about me and the dead horse S Logo but don't compare me to wheat you know I should go over there and Blast a few a$$ holes but I'm better then that I know the truth and that's all it matters..now that I have a list of names that i will never build a cue for that alone makes me happy.

I am very good friends with many people on that site. He is a troll for this reason. If he has an issue don't whine here, sign up and have at it over there. There is NO censorship. No deleted threads. It is what it is.

Why not just ask Dennis?

Dennis might have to reinvent the perfect way to type a response in a brand new, yet completely and perfectly precise manner, and have to go into months of R& D and experimentation before he could reply.

It might be easier (or faster) to just find out if the seller is for realz.

Jamie's Searing conversion with two shafts at SBE was priced at $1,700.00. It did not sell. Leon's is $450.00. That's pretty close to my estimate. Both play good. Dennis cues will appreciate more because of the way he markets himself and the consistency of precision workmanship. Leon's cue is a poor mans Searing right now. But Leon's cues are getting better every day. Both men have a market. No competition here. By the way, Leon said that this cue was not made by him.

I highly doubt that cue was listed at $1,700. Just because it did not sell over a weekend doesn't mean it didn't sell. It's not on his site any longer, so apparantly it did sell.

BTW - Pete Omen makes the best FS sneakies...

Not at SBE.

Dennis custom cue price is $3,000.00 for a 4point 4veneer cue. Would you pay $3,000.00 for a sneaky pete even by Dennis? I think that's crazy. I guess if a person has too much money that price is o.k., Not me.

Riddle me this Bob Man.. Who can get a cue like you described from Dennis? You? Dennis does not make many cues. You know this AND I know this along with a lot of other people. For that reason, his cues demand such high prices. That is what drives all cue prices up.

Supply vs. Demand

I'd love to see your Searing Bob... Post up some pics.

I posted mine... but that thread got derailed by Nick.

Besides, everybody knows you have plenty of money...

I know for a fact it is a Searing it was Dennis personal cue and sold it to somebody from Ocala FL and they even gamble a little afterwards on Dennis's table the guy purchased it outright from dennis because he didn't wanna wait for one.

i just got the cue and i'm planning on refinishing it if it doesn't sell.

Not that I doubt you at all, buts its way illuminating because Dennis is known to be such a perfectionist and the cue is a little bit of a mess. I would have guessed a guy like Dennis would have kept his stuff nicer than the owner of this cue kept it, but you learn something new every day.

Thanks

Kevin

Oh, BTW, how much do you want for your Searing?

Mr. Seller you need a letter or someting from Dennis to help with your sale, and if you are going to refinish the SEARING CUE, why not have Dennis do the REFINISH?
