Sebastian Staab - 129 Ball Run (Complete)

Sure Sebastian can do what he want and luckily we're not forced to tell the WADA every day where we stay (like cyclists etc) but it was almost certain that there will be drug tests at the WTC as 3 or 4 complete matchdays were held, so all players of all 8 premier league teams where at the very same place. It was bound to happen...

it's "bound to happen" because people put BIG-GOV turds in power. it's happened in the USA too but there is now a TRUE conservative party named the libertarian party that has vowed to get the gov out of our private lives.

sean: i don't give a damn what you think. go away.....

Guys (and gals -- "guys" meant colloquially, but I digress...):

It's not April 1st, right? And my eyes are not deceiving me? These Long Island Iced Teas I'm enjoying at the moment aren't playing tricks with what I *think* I just read?

-Sean <-- used to be "owned" by the big bad wolf (read: gubmint, in the form of 8 years of active duty service in the U.S. Navy, seeing action in the Gulf of Sidra), and proud to say he'd protected the freedom of speech of those who wish to post the silliness he just read.

Sean: How you doing? Can you believe this thread is about a good 14.1 run by a talented young German? :bash:

I'm doing great, my friend. Shooting some really great stick lately (just shot an 80 the other night, only to have this freaky scratch off my break shot into the side pocket -- the cue ball caromed three times before it found its way to the side pocket).

Nice to see you (and Steve K.!) at the World 14.1 at Breakers in NJ. It's too bad that place is so small, for I was hoping to get a table to play Tony R., and Steve L., but alas, the venue did well for such an "emergency" event.

Anyway, I'm hoping this thread would get on track to the great accomplishments of such a talented German player (a side note: doesn't the world "talented" come from a German root word or some such -- meaning, "it goes without saying"? :D ).

Seriously, it's a shame this thread got polluted with such diatribe. I'm hoping it gets back on track. Comedy break aside (reps appropriately applied), it's time to get back on track.

-Sean <-- who is of German descent, "Leinen" is German. I'm half Irish too (duh, the spelling of "Sean" is a dead giveaway), so perhaps I'm lucky. :D

80, jeez! you guys make it sound so easy.
Young Sebastian shoots well. And our forum just had Terje with a 93. Damn!

One of my grandmothers was a Kraus and the other was a Schnitz so I think I may have some German lurking in there, but probably not enough to run more than a 20 or so. Add a Walsh and a Phelps and I think we have a bit of the celtic blood here also.

Anyway, good shooting for you and for young sebastian.

dennis: we all know what a great pool player he is. in this thread however we learn that the gestapo banned him from tournament play for a year because of pot. he has just suffered a grave injustice. if no one speaks out, nothing will change. just because someone has pot in their system, doesn't mean that they are "doping" for an advantage. that's bullshit! we need to nip this idiocy in the bud should the pee police want to institute similar "rules" in the USA.

Sadly he's banned from competition for another half a year or even a year as he was found with cannabis during a doping check at the premierlague matches held at the WTC event.

Call me crazy, but I thought this forum was a place for 14.1 enthusiasts to share information and instruction on the manly art of straight pool.

I think when we use it as a soap box to spread our beliefs about other things, it ends up alienating people and turning them off to what we are trying to do here.

It's too bad that Sebastian got busted. Europe is a bit more advanced in promoting the cue sports than the old U.S of A. and I am certainly not going to say they are going about it in the wrong way.

Let's try to get back to 14.1 here. :)

i beg to differ. this IS 14.1 related.

you call this "advanced"? pee testing pool players for pot that can stay in your system for many weeks is not a "doping" advantage issue.

this is too much of a political hot potato so nobody speaks up because they have no courage. everyone fears the pee-police gestapo and would face condemnation should they speak out against this injustice. the pros here should vociferously denounce what happened to Sebastian Staab and make sure that it won't be instituted here. instead of condemnation there is support for this lunacy.

Sebastian should start his own pool league and tell the IOC to go screw themselves.

I did not say that "pee testing" is advanced. I said that their promotion of the cue sports is much more advanced than ours.

This is NOT about 14.1. This is about your idea that everyone should be able to get high. I really do not give a shit about that. Maybe you can start a sub forum on Pee testing or some such.

i didn't bring up the drug testing issue. why didn't you condemn that poster?

This is about your idea that everyone should be able to get high.
you have resorted to a simplistic interpretation, dennis, and a disingenuous one at that.

this is a "freedom" issue. they have wrongfully suspended a great player NOT because he's using a doping advantage but because he had pot in his system. it's none of anyone's business what adults do in the privacy of their own homes. i find it odd that people who have 'fought for freedom' fail to understand this freedom basic. if they can do it to players in germany, they will start here. when that happens, all the good little pool-playing boys and girls will line up like hitler youth, giving their urine to do their part to end the scourge of terrible plants on our nation.

furthermore; you condemn me for following up on another post about Stabb because in your mind, it's not on topic but you have no qualms about discussing sean's game.

Thanks for the video Steve. On the last break shot he changed his mind a couple of time about whether to draw or follow. It's good to know a better player than myself also does that.
