In the pics the Bocote looks better because the veneers show more. In person I think they look equally as nice. I can't decide which one I like more.

You have no idea what a pain it is keeping all the points even.

Keeping the points even is what separates the men from the boys, take your time buddy. I know for a fact these cues will be perhaps the toughest test you have had yet, but they will establish you as well. I'm 100% confident in you Scott, you have amazed me since the night we met. Its cool to be a part of this whole project. Thanks Buddy.

Thanks for the compliments. I had no idea what I was getting into and I'm glad I took on the challenge.

I started by looking at pictures and figuring out the measurements. The cues had to be built from the tip back making the first step a road block. I didn't have stable Ebony at shaft size and every step since has been a learning experience.

After test building each part of the cue I figured out they need to be built as close to final size as possible. I learned young to fly 2 mistakes high and I apply that theory to my building. It's nerve racking to be 40-60 hours into a cue and know there's no room for mistakes. The feeling compares to inlaying a $500 piece of Ivory that takes a year to replace. If you haven't experienced that you need to.

I've learned a lot building these cues.
My full splice point construction is tuned so nice that I'm debating building half splices cues anymore.

For the guys waiting for one of these.
When I post pictures and one of the cues fits your style let me know and I'll put your name on it.

All cues are sold. I'm building an extra cue for backup that will be sold if I all the cues turn out great.
