It looks like we will have atleast 8 teams. New players are welcome we will find you a team. We will be BCA santioned by the fourth week. Come on down to Big Shots on Wed Sept 8th. If you do not have a team we will find you one there are a couple of teams that are short a person or two. There are also several players looking to join teams. This will be a fun yet competitive league and a great way to meet new pool playing friends.

It was great shooting pool with you and Darin last night. I haven't enjoyed shooting pool at Big Shots that much in a long time, even if I did take a flying cue ball to the thigh on that one break shot.
This league looks like it is going to be a lot of fun, and I definitely like the way those tables play more than I did before they worked on them.

Thanks for the kind words it was great meeting you as well. Johnny and I shoot together all the time and you are welcome to join us anytime. As for the league I 'am pretty sure we are up to 8 teams possibly more. Everyone that I have talked to seems pretty excited about it. I have played in quite a few other leagues and I am not here to bash another they all can be fun. Just my experience and knowing how Mark runs his show the BCA is the only way to go. I did call the BCA office this morning and the did in fact change the rule to after a scratch on the break in 8 ball, it is ball in hand anywhere on the table for the incoming player. The rule change was effective June 1st.

Is this going to be the first night of actual league play or is this more of a meet & greet/orientation thing?
I am expecting to get the league started tomorrow night. There is going to be a meet and greet and go over some rules that may be unfamiliar to some of the people who have not played BCA rules. I have about a 10-15 minute powerpoint type presentation that will explain the rules, scoring and how the handicaps work. Basically its just by balls left on the table. Winner of game gets 10 points and the other player gets a point per ball made.
I know the majority of the players and fully anticipate getting the wheels rolling tomorrow night. We would love to have you. There are going to be some very good players. I am sure you know at least a few of them.

At least 6 teams that I know of are set teams. There will be people there looking to form or join teams. I am not sure but I think Abe's team might only have 5 and could probably use a 6th as an alternate.

Guys, that was fun!
It was a lot of fun, though a bit hectic for me being the first night. It was great to finally meet you thanks for coming down. It went really well. It was great to meet some new people as well as see some that I have not seen for a long time. I am going to try hard to fill that 8th team so there are no byes. The stats Email has been emailed out.
