Tactics

sell all my cues no matter how much they bring, don't care what i paid they must go.......as long as the SW and BG bring $4300 that is.i agree Tank, nice tactic he pulled on me too.

He is known in this area for selling like this. Thought maybe he changed but it is impossible to get the spots off a dalmation :)
Mason
give me a call about a Franklin.

that figures

gues i better stop the cue buying fund withdrawl. i didn't think that the cues were going to go . the post from some well known forum members kinda started forming the pattern that something is fishey??

I Had Made An Offer On The Cantando, Based On The Fact That The Cue Has Wrap Issues. I Was Basicly Told He Had To Get What He Had Invested In It, Which I Felt Was To Much Considering The Issue That The Cue Has. No Skin Off My Back, I Just Didn't Reply Once He Gave Me His Price.

Almost withdrawl some cash and try to contact the fella.
Luckily you guys come up with these posts.
It has saved me some time. Thanks a lot guys.

My first complaint would be all of this under the table pricing BS. Just post your asking prices and deal from there if necessary. Let's all agree to get rid of "PM me for prices" and "submit best offer." However, in this case, it's starting to look like getting involved at any price is a mistake.

Prices

Prices are between the buyer and seller and in many instances and should out of courtesy remain just that.
On the other hand you know BS when you see it!:D

Me 2! I printed the dam pictues, made notes about the cues (since his spec list didn't follow the order of the cues in the pics), decided what I thought was a good offer, then MASON posted that the guy had minimums that were basically the same full price that he had invested in the cues.

Which just happens to contradict what the Seller wrote.

Which resulted in the Seller losing credibility, IMHO.

Which resulted in me saying "Eff it, there's other cues and Sellers on the market that don't play these games."

Which goes to prove, once again, why this "PM for Price" crap is total BS.

It would have been SOOOOOO EASY for the Seller to include a minimum price for each cue, like: "2002 Mottey, 4.0 & 3.8oz, 12.75 & 12.9mm, $1950."

But he had to play these dam secret pricing games, double blind offer crap.

"You have to offer more than the current offer on that cue, but I can't reveal what that offer is"

WTF??

My thoughts

I basicly offered what the bluegrass sold for on ebay. As for the SW well that is about what Nineball sold his for.
This seller is oviously having to sell his cues because of a hardship and it is not financial. Anyone with cues like this is not broke.
He wants to sell his cues but he is not liking the fact that he really likes the cues. I am pretty sure it would not hurt him to stake tomatoes with them if he wished to.
We all should show him a little respect because if we were in his shoes we too might not be thinking very clearly either :o .
Nice cues!
Nick :)

i don't think i can show respect for a guy that comes here and blatantly lies to us.i offered a fair price for the BG and SW and he said he wants an additional $800 or he will not sell.earlier he said they are all to sell no matter what.

Tomato stakes?

I'm sure the tomatoes will grow a little bigger and sweeter if they were staked with that Cantando! Cantando BLT's for me thanks.

This sort of email auction has been tried before on AZ, and it just frustrates people. The real problem with doing it this way is that once you get the seller nailed down to an agreement, someone else comes in with a trade offer, or whatever, and it just drags on.

Give me good pictures, specs and a price. If you don't know what your cue is worth, put it on ebay and let the market decide, or consign it - there are plenty of knowledgeable sellers here who will help you.
