A small line of coke, known as a 'bump', or a 'pick me up'.

It's when you reply to move a thread back to the top of the main page.
Just for the record, I don't do coke. I'm covered in tattoos and probably look like I do, but I really don't.

So, when a poster wants his thread to be read by as many people as possible, like when he's selling something, he wants it on the first page of the threads in that forum.
In order to get it on the first page he makes a post in the thread to "bump" it to the top of the list of threads, or maybe somebody bumps it for him.
