Settle a discussion between a friend and myself

My friend claims that there is a manufacturer of a 5 by 10 pocket billiards table. I maintain that as far as I know there is no manufacturer who makes a 5 by 10 pocket billiards table. A 5 by 10 it's a size of a carom table but not pocket billiards.

5x10 used to be the standard tournament size for pool. That stopped in 1950 or so when they changed to 9 foot. You can find antique 5x10 pool tables if you look. I used to play in a bar league and one bar way out in the sticks only had a 10-foot table.

I was playing some 6 ball with my 70 year old friend with a 6th grade education, (he can read a little but the big words slow him down), I asked him this question and he had the answer before I got the balls racked.
He said something about Google being my friend. I said I ain't skeered of Google, where is he.

Diamond custom, you’re looking at around $15K. We got a Gabriel’s 10-foot prototype pool table they made special for a pro invitation event in the Netherlands in 2016, but I don’t think you can get a 10-foot pool table from Gabriel’s anymore. Your best bet at a good price is looking for a Brunswick antique 10 footer.

This is all spot on. But it means if we keep on downsizing tables we will end up as just another episode of Seinfeld...

Here is proof, my 10 Ft Diamond table. Bought from Diamond 6 months ago.

I feel sorry for those pool cues! I let Dennis Miller use a good cue of mine (JW) while we were doing a shoot together. It was an "opening" for his late night show. I made the shot for him and then we cut to him throwing the cue on the table, except he threw the cue across the table and onto the floor. My stomach turned at that moment. I asked the director please not to let him shoot that scene again and thankfully they used the one take they had. My poor cue came out with one small scuff mark that I was able to clean up.

I looked all over Diamond's website, and I didn't see where you could order a Big Foot. Just something you have to know?

It has been over 10 years ago, but when I was moving into my current house I was considering getting a 10' table. At that time I contacted A.E. Schmidt and they said they could build me one. A few days later I got a deal on a good GC 1 and went with it instead.

When I was a kid, there were 5x10 pool tables all over.
The one at the 7-11 in NYC was called the Rebel Trap...
...the Southerners played mostly on 4x8s, so that table looked like a football field to them.
They also had a 6x12, which must’ve looked like a Texas ranch.
