Sex Change

I'm a frequent visitor to this site but rarely post anything. I know what your thinking - "Sex Change", WTF?

Anyway, I'm a player...pretty decent --> finished 13th in the U.S. Open, 11th in the 9-Ball at the DCC the same year, have won on semi-pro tours (Planet 9-Ball), can occasionally run 100 balls in straight pool, etc. Having said that, I know that I will never be able to make a living playing on the mens' pro tour. However, I think I could make a living playing on the WPBA tour. Now, I would NEVER, EVER to this but if I or someone like me got a sex change do you think they would be allowed to play on the women's tour.

Why wouldn't you?

You think you'd play as good after all the medical/ chemical/ biological changes? How about after spending $100k+ on the whole deal...to play pool for living?! Let me be the first to laugh publicly at your thought. Haha.

In a word, YES.

( I think that I watched you play at Planet 9-Ball and you have a nice azz )

you'd prolly have to shave every couple hours with that thick ass beard you grow out by 2 in the afternoon everyday. but yeah i think they'd let you play... you'd just be donating anyway old man. do you even play anymore? i think the masters is this weekend up at q's...

Just put on a wig, shave tight, and have someone kick you in the nads. Best of luck.

Even putting aside the ethical issues of doing such a thing, it would no longer come with the guarantee of robbing the WPBA.

On top of the strength of play almost geometrically expanding every year on that tour, the board has tinkered with the format of play in the later rounds so much that they've almost made it a coin flip. I could be wrong, but I think it comes down to single-elimination races to 7 at some point, with alternate breaks.

A mid-level pro male player who changes his gender would probably be guaranteed to make no more than $40,000 a year from tournament purses alone on the WPBA, and you'd almost certainly be such an ugly woman that sponsorships would be few and far between. ;)

Where's Turk Baker when you need him?

Remember in "The Hustler" where Fast Eddy gets taken into the back room and we hear him grunt out as his thumbs are broken? That's what needs to happen to DTL right now.

:o

So, can somebody find where Turk Baker is hanging out and tell him we got ourselves a real wise ass here. Oh, he's much more of a wise ass then that other guy.

:D

Tennis and Golf

In Tennis it was Richard Raskind. He became Renee Richards and played pro tour tennis in the 1970s.

In Golf it was Mianne Bagger from Australia, who really didn't play well enough to be very memorable.

Already done?

Hasn't this already been done? I mean some of the women have me questioning whether or not they used to be a man, or maybe they still are a man!

I think it has already been done, so you would just be following in others foot steps.

So if this is what you want to do then best of luck to you!:D

They might let you play.... you may do pretty good... but I don't think you would have the nuts.

I actually have a good friend, a great person and an excellent designer, who has gone through the process and all friends are all very supportive. Contact me if you need referals :)

It was a little shocking at first but then I felt proud of her. :)
