Shaft comes unscrewed during play

This comment is addressed to fellow lefties. Years ago had this issue with my first cue. Took me eons to figure out I was inadvertently loosening the shaft ever so slightly with the grip in my left hand. That hand naturally wants to turn in the direction as if opening a door knob.

I have had an issue with a shaft that wanted to tighten mightily. I was wondering if the OP was left handed and that was loosening the shaft. Obviously doesn't apply to all players or all shafts but I reflexively check my shaft for tightness at the start of every inning now.

Good Answer!

Right handed.

It didn't sound like a whine to me, just a simple inquiry as to what could be causing the issue.
Correct, most certainly was not a whine. Was inquiring as this is the first cue I have ever purchased. Now I have a question about new cloth for my table, is that going to be considered a whine as well? lol

Uni-lok joints are horrendous for loosening up. I love my BK Rush - best break stick I ever owned. But every once in a while it loosens up. I chose to just tightening it up every break rather than use shaft wax as I've done on Uni-lok shooters in the past. I no longer use the Uni-lok joint. My Predators, other than the BK Rush, are all Radial joint. I wish Predator would go to the Radial joint exclusively.
I despise uni-loc. My ikon would come loose during play at times. All of their break shafts at the least should be radial imo. I am glad to see the limited runs of cues they now offer now have radial. That is a solid pin. My revo fits super snug on my sneaky radial. I can't see it ever coming loose with how snug the tolerances are.
