Shane/Earl vs Daz/Shaw

If they are playing 9 or 10 ball, SVB/Earl should clean house pretty good. Earl and Shanes combined fire power, and break??????? Thats tough to fade for ANYONE.

Would love to see Busty/Alex next!!!

Nice!

I would say Earl and Shane would win 60% of the time, providing Earl does not act up.

Busty wasn't on his game in the 10 ball tourney.
Especially when I beat him in the 1st round.

I dont know what numbers you've looked at the last few years...

so the worlds best player and one of the rising talents of pool vs a guy who barely talks (only saying because of how important communication is in doubles) and one who just goes off at any moment. I don't know how people can actually think SVB and Earl could win a doubles match against Shaw and Appleton. Make them play 10 sets race to anything above 11 I guarantee team Daz and Jayson win 7 of em.

Im curious to know what numbers you've been looking at the last few years to claim someone other than SVB is the best player in the world...

I can understand saying someone is at the same level, but there isn't anyone who is as consistently the favorite in any match as Shane...

The big question for me is whether Shane can break full time? I've seen both policies in scotch.

Earl used to have such a great break too. I think he really should not break with that giant cue- I don't think he can get enough velocity into the break with that giant cue. I've seen him use a break cue a few times since he switched to that giant cue, but he seems to always go back to the giant cue.

Who cares. It's another practice match, most likely with 4 guys splitting exhibition money. Real fun to sweat

I'm guessing WAY more people watch pool for reasons other than sweating the match. The sweat factor is highly overrated by the small minority of gambling junkies.
I used to gamble everything I had for many years and now I don't gamble at all and I enjoy pool for what it is without anything riding on it. I just love to watch the top players play and I think most of them play their hearts out whether there is a lot or a little on the line.
If the only reason it interests you is the sweat factor, either you have a serious problem or you don't have much love for the game, or both.

Your probably right, I don't have much love for this game ANYMORE. And get tired of hearing who's at the top from playing exhibitions. Meaningless matches.
I highly doubt anyone's playing their hearts out, they are looking more to get it over quick and get paid more then anything. Nowadays hoping to get paid actually.

Thanks for your honest reply. I hope you are wrong, at least about the guys not giving it their best. Regardless of the pay, one should take pride in the work they do.
