Shane vs T-rex, 1p action match LIVE

He fell head first into that trap. Defense, Defense, Defense .... Shane :bash::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

Forget about that trap, Shane should have banked the 7 drawing behind the 2 while Tony's hole was blocked. That 8 ball bank was so lame it allowed Tony to bank the 1 sealing Shane's fate.

For those that were commenting on the defensive play in this set, I was talking to Tony during the one pocket tournament and asked him why a certain top player did not play the score when he needed one ball and there were two balls on the table. He went for a tough shot, bumped the other ball into play and ended up losing the game and set.

He said 'When you are playing these top players and get a chance to win, you had better take it when you can.'

I guess it makes sense when you play as well as these guys do, but old school guys would never put the other ball in play. One of Freddie The Beards rules - Never shoot a shot you can lose the game on when you need one ball and they need more than one.

Wow thought Shane had it.

Missed patches and the ending. At one point it was 5-5. Then last I watched, Shane was up 8-6 and a lot thought Shane had it in the bag.

T-rex playing with a lot of heart to tough it out and get the cash.

Watching Dennis and the last few 1p events, the only person that has a shot is Alex.

Wow, how many people were there until the end?

There was about 500+ online viewers all during the night. Packed house watching on the rail too.

Thanks to POV pool. Not everyone has $30 to watch pool every week.

The stream has been great all week with quality commentary too.

This surely help boost interest in pool.

I think consensus would be that svb was the underdog in this match.

Good for him, for getting in the box.

I've been extremely impressed by how well Shane was playing 1p this week. He's almost right there. I bet in another year we're talking about who can beat Shane at 1p.

The Detroit gang think Shane is definitely an underdog. Tony beat him bad in Detroit. I figured on neutral ground it'd be an even match. I would still put my money on Shane but it can go either way
