Just got a cue from Seybert's and i'm pretty sure you could knock someone out with this tube... They used UPS padded envelopes as stuffing (thanks for the free future packaging!) and that thing wasn't about to move in there. May keep the tube in case i need to ship a cue/shaft. I do the same for bike forks because finding a 12x6x36" box is impossible without spending $$$$$.If you ever bought from Seyberts .... Their tubes are incredibly strong. I use one when I shipped a cue to Proficient and got the cue back in a USPS triangle box... The cues was wrapped with newspaper. I passed out!
As far as shippers are concerned: Preference is UPS, but the Postal Service has also been very good to me (MN). Can't stand FedEx and it makes me nervous when i order stuff shipped with them. Have had close to $5000 in bike components temporarily "lost" or arrive in wet/damaged packaging just in the last year. Thankfully the packaging engineers know what they're doing and none of the parts were damaged.
