USPS with insurance and tracking, sure, I'd use it, although the most expensive thing I ever shipped was worth $700.

No way. I like to have tracking numbers/speedy delivery on anything I send larger than a birthday card. Sadly best bet sounds like waiting a little while and seeing if the package comes. Hopefully it does.

from what the post office told me...when you do the highest level of confirmation each person along the route is responsible to sign off or something like that when they handle it. They said it was the best way to make sure the package was handled properly.

if you get a tracking number and some insurance its not a issue

no insurance involved... cause of tax issues... here tax is 110%... but I did take the risk myself n willing to take the risk I did ask for express... n suddenly I get a local post office shipment from Germany ... dhl here told me they don't have any data on it... there is a tracking but it seems for 5 days there is no input... question here is... would u ship a cue of that value via local post office??? even thow I'm taking the risk without insurance so I don't end up paying 15k for it... is it that Dificult to ship on the buyers request??? express???

ur joking... a 7.5k via postal??? international to Indonesia where I am???... sorry I forgot to mention that

Your in a foreign country...over here in the usa usps is much more reliable then any other country out there. Who do you call now that your package might have a problem or stolen....1 800 DHL....good luck with that! Over here there is the office of the inspector general and the us postal inspection service with agents locally who investigate issues. I would use fedex or ups in any other country first. The usps does a good job shipping to other county's but once it leaves our boarders its in the hands of foreign postal services and most very little security. Fedex and UPS are world wide companys so they can track better in other country's (or they can just make up a scan which I know they do!). DHL ground parcel can take a LONG time in most country's so give it a month or two.

Fedex has had a good track record for me. In my business we're shipping fragile glass or liquids all the time and I never saw anything come out scuffed or broken unless it was packed poorly. We get stuff from DHL overseas a lot and it's also fine if packed properly, but the packages look like they've been through hell.

guys... I use dhl with everything I ship.. we do aproximattly 450kg a week of expensive items like belts n bags n shoes to all over the world ... never an issue.. always max 3 days!!! all my cuecases I ship to anywhere follow the same time schedule... dhl ain't the problem... if its dhl Express I guess... anyway... I guess I'm in deep on this one

OBviously some miscommunication about how to ship.

Or you just got bent over

no i dont like the post office internationally

i'm in Germany now and I travel with my cue a Boar with no issue, but if I was going to ship it here from America I'd use Fed-Ex and insure it for $2000, just enough insurance to make it something they will take notice of but not crazy high. Thats what i do in America as well.

I like FedEx.

Your problem seems to be that you told the seller one thing, and he didn't do it.

To answer your question in the subject line: I would have no problems sending the cue via my local post office.

I think you are asking a question most here on az have no knowledge of....your in Europe asking input on shipping in Italy and Indo. and the seller sent your package ground dhl instead of express and you got a message from DHL(hq in germany) that a package has been shipped but there is little tracking info correct? All I can say is DHL the worst at tracking...I have bought items on ebay lately that sellers use some dhl service to send there packages and sometimes i get the package even before they track it!.As far as company's I mentioned tracking systems creating scans i have proof. I recently ordered a dehumidifer from amazon and it gave a est delivery date. Well the item came in 3 days(great) but the tracking info came the same day it was delivered and when I entered the tracking the first scan said it was delivered and the next 4 entry's were scans after the package was delivered with dates after it arrived! ITS called logistics....they can create what ever they want you to believe. So tracking is not always 100%.
