A New Generation Of Case Makers
There's been a lot of talk lately about O'Neil and his cases, much of it revolving around whether he even takes orders anymore. According to a conversation I had with him on 8/12/2012, he does and any orders should be sent to him via eMail. The only problem being that he doesn't check his eMail, confirmed by the lack of response to many potential customer's, on this forum, inquiries. I think we all understand why he is no longer able to fulfill the number of orders he is receiving but that does not change the fact that there is an active market for his product and I now find myself looking in new directions for custom box cases.
I'm putting out a WTB message for a custom 1x1 box case. Black with white stitching, dark green interior and polished metal outer corner protectors or black interior and exterior with brass metal fittings. The interior will have the standard cue accommodations and accessories compartment large enough for chalk and a tip tool with a secondary lid on the accessories compartment that closes flush with the rest of the interior paneling. In addition I would add a separate interior space for a cue ball, a rounded and cushioned indent so as to keep it from moving when the case is closed. The outer covering could be either vinyl or stained and coated wood.
I'd like to see if there are any talented craftsmen on here that would like to showcase their ability and probably pick up several new customers in the process. Feel free to post examples of your work along with prices and turnaround time so other potential buyers may see as well.
