Efren missed the whole ball in one of his attempts. Very interesting look at the differences in technique between the Filipino players and the Japanese. Looks like they had a lot of fun with it though.

Remember 8 ball is one diamond off of the end rail, It is tough shot the only way to make it is to have the cb curve to it using english, so you need to judge CB deflection, as well as cue deflection, then worry about scratch when you make it. The alternative to hit 200 mile/hr and thin cut it, tough.
 
That was...odd. A couple of takeaways though. It's an interesting idea for a tiebreaker. The Pinoys mocking the overreaction of the Japanese team was hilarious. Looks like everyone was having a good time. Also, I don't know how tall the female competitor for team PHI is, but Efren is towering over her which says something.
 
Great post! First thought the reactions were unprofessional, but everyone was having a laugh. Very exciting format! Gonna have to practice that shot!
 
This thread made my morning. Watching Busty jump around like a little kid made me smile...

This team event stuff is all very exciting. Wish we could all watch these kind of formats more.

Going to have to attempt this shot. If I can beat Efren's 0-2, I will say I am better than Efren. :D

that's pretty funny stuff....Efren aired it by putting too much feel in his stroke...it's funny to watch them all waggle in for this shot...

was done also World Teamchampionships i think 2011 or 2010 in Hannover Germany.
was there to witness England beat China in the shootout something like 28-30. remember the 8b is on the level of the first diamond in the middle and you shoot from the spot. so it is tough already and I think it was Mark Gray and forget the chinese guys name now....they made each 8 in a row!! insane...especially since everyone was watching that table at the time...
 
All pro players should celebrate like the Japanese after every rack win, would be fun to watch.
