Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
I haven't heard much talk about this upcoming tournament Labor Day weekend. When I was in California in July, I stopped in there a couple of times and spoke with Alex, who is either the owner or manager, and he said it was a $10,000 added event. These specifics I'm not sure about but I think it's a 128 max field, and a $70 entry fee. This should be a great tournament with lots of top players from So. Cal. and possibly even Efren. As of right now, I probably won't be able to make it but I am doing everything in my power to change that because I'd really like to play in this one. I wish I had more info at this time in case this one has been under the radar, which it seems like it has. Peace, John.

John, they are having a $1000-added $40-entry one-pocket tourney this Sunday in honor of Efren's birthday.
Next weekend will be the $10,000 added 9-fall tourney in honor of the owner, Bill's, mother passing. She was a great supporter of the Labor Day tournament at Shooters which is becoming the largest POOL ROOM tournament here in SoCal.
I am setting up a repair station there this Sunday and hopefully Bill will let me do the labor day weekend tournament repairs as well.
I will call Alex the manager so I can post it here next week or so.
IF you need to call Alex, he can be reached at 951-785-9588.
Please come down.
TONS of action that week here. Efren will here that Sunday and Monday.
The travelling gunslingers from Sacramento and Arizona are coming down.
I'm hoping John Schmidt's backer gets him flown here too.
I hope Danny Medina, Kim Davenport. Santos Sambajon, Bustamante, Jimmy Mendoza and Tony Chohan get here too.

Rude Dog its one of the finest tournaments Ive ever been to. Particularly when Efren is in town. Which he is. Besides the celebratory atmosphere there is some serious pool playing. Although limited in seating the matches has always been exciting. If they are still serving their steak and rice thats a great bargain too. Action is always welcomed.

I'll be there. Have played the last several years. It's a great room...and a great event! Hope to see everyone there.

Hope to see you shoot there Melissa.
Make sure you check Morro's rack this time when you're ahead. :)

*Sigh* They always have this thing the same weekend as the Long Beach Blues Festival, which is where I'm going to be. Good luck to Melissa and anyone else playing, sweating or just navigating the 91 freeway!

Riverside pool tourny

Anyone that can provide me pictures of this poolroom and some of the players I would greatly appreciate it. I used to be a regular there in the late 80's early 90's when it was Mr. Cues. JAM I wish you and Keith were going for you always have great pictures. Anyone willing to help me here?

This is a different room. Off 91 at Tyler. The old Mr. Cue's became Q -Bonkers, then changed hands a couple of months ago(new owner=Dallas ....).

Shooters is the former "Fat's". Good room. Tournament room(tight pockets), good management(Alex), good food and bar, 5x10 tight snooker table, friendly place, action (cheap to impressive)accomadated .
