Shooting pool, drinking....don't drive.

Thanks for posting. I am also a strong opponent of drunk driving. I spent eight years working as a prosecutor in Miami. The first year out of law school I prosecuted hundreds of DUIs. A few years later I convicted a guy of driving drunk and getting in an accident and killing his girlfriend in front of her young kids who were in the back seat. It was perhaps the most satisfying trial of my career.

Don't drink and drive.

Great message Terry. I hope it saves someone's life.

Thank you!

For 28 years I've been teaching and preaching and begging and pleading and have tried every dammed trick I know and very few listen to a word. But.... whaddyagunnado.. I keep on doing it 'cause that's what I DO. I didn't choose this work... it chose me.

Poolplayer2093,

Always enjoy your unintelligent comments.

My sentiments exactly. Believe it or not, his comments on another thread about drunk driving are even dumber. Thanks for calling him out. I should have done so in my first post.

Something tells me that if one of his (Poolplayer2093) friends or family members were killed by a drunk driver he wouldn't think the crime was such a joke.

Glad I'm not the only one that though his remark was in extremely poor taste.

I never have a beer, wine, or hard drink in any bar playing pool or not playing pool. Its just not worth getting behind a wheel when you have been drinking. Even a beer or two you shouldn't drive because then it will be 2 or 3 beers then 4 or 5 and then your drunk behind the wheel.

Driving drunk or loaded is a very selfish thing to do. You have no consideration for others and their safety. I hope they make even stiffer penalities for drunk drivers since too many people have been killed or injured when it can be prevented.

I agree but so is driving while texting or on a cell phone. I believe more accidents are now caused by this than drinking. In years gone by you could tell someone was drunk because they were weaving but now it is almost always someone on a phone. I don't know how many times I have missed a green light because someone on a phone isn't paying attention.
