short time(dream cue) financing!!

Bill, I hope this works out, I think if it does, it will change the high-end custom cue market in a real way. How are you going to deal with defaults? You are in effect going into the usury business with this plan, and loan defaults are a fact of life in that business. I'm curious and a bit skeptical, but I do applaud the efforts. This takes giant elephant sized balls even to throw this out there.

I would imagine

You pay then you play! After all Bill would get 4% on his investment if he put the investment in a bank note. So if you tie up his investment he should expect compensation. But I like the fact that he will bind a cue for any Joe Blow not just other people in the know or in a very tight circle that always developes with people over time as more interactions take place.
Basicly sounds like you call you set the deal you like and are dreaming of and Bill will work with any of you.
And that is why Bill gets alot of return business. He will make you happy and treat you as a return buyer even on a first sale!
Nick :)

we have worked a deal with citi bank and that will be our financing ! once approved its yours and for those of you with less than perfect credit we will do it in house, holding the cue until payment is made.we will set up a pymt plan with so much down and so much per month! we are really trying to work this angle for those collectors out there ,thanks for the huge response and it has already worked for a few of your cues go out tommorow

what about international buyers...or more specifically me in canada lol. i am sure i have great credit as thats what some lady at bell told me when she looked it up but since u r using a US based bank for the financing and approval will it still work for non-us buyers?

I have asked this question before and maybe it was just over looked. Will you be willing to take cues as partial payment? i Know that my credit is not so great so i would have to do it in house. I also do not mind waiting until it is fully paid for before shipping. Just ask Chris on line. I am in the process of finishing payment on a cue from him in a very timely manner. That may be the only reference i have> Please pm me and let me know, as i do not want to openly discuss my financial business. Thanks in advance..........mike

the finance allows u to get the cue before u even fully pay for it. it's not layaway where u have to pay for everything before u get ur cue. so it's understandable that theres a small interest charge on it.

I have been following this thread and it could be a boon for someone that wants a cue NOW that could not otherwise pay for it. It is creative financing as far as I'm concerned and anyone that does not want to participate-DON'T. People tend to judge someone by their personal experiences with that individual;and I for one must attest to the honesty and credability of Bill Grassley. Certainly, with all the cues Bill has sold here and elsewhere,if he had a honesty problem ,it would have surfaced by now. Go Bill!

I'm Impressed

Wow . That is really somthing cutting edge for the market. I applaud you on bringing financing to the cue market. I'm sure that it wasn't easy convincing some banker to go for this . I work with banks everyday trying to get people financed for cars that they need to get to work. I can't imagine trying to convince one of them a guy really needs a $5-10K pool cue. They would laugh me out of the office. I'm also quite suprised at the low rate of interest. Usually an odd loan such as these would carry very stiff interest rates 18+ %. Hats off to you my friend for breaking new ground.

Masonh-remark

Masonh,

You have made a rather slanderous remark about Bill.
Bill is a person who does business on this web site and you are stating a comment that in it's self from words used, ie: massage person,( what you did to her) that would indicate a crimminal offense. You have left us all wondering what was this offense. You have possibly labled Bill as a criminal.

I am a friend of Bill's and I will contact him tomorrow with an Attorney that will take this case.

Have a good night.........and watch what you say

i have to agree with Sean the finance charge is a joke.i am sure the people who are financing the cues are paying retail+ for their cues anyway why even charge the penny ante finance charge.i have seen your website and your prices are considerably higher than some other dealers.it seems like everyone here loves you guys at Cornerstone and never have any problems with you,but i know what you did to the girl giving massages at DCC last year.i know you are not as honest as some people think you are.i am editing to say that the massage girl got ripped off on a cue.i read back through the post and didn't want anyone to think it was sexual or scandalous.he just ripped her off on a pool cue deal.

I'm going to have to disagree with you and Sean on the finance charge. There is always a level of risk when it comes to financing. In technical terms, his finance charge is compensation for the dis-utility of his forgone consumption. If you think a one or two percentage rate is unreasonable, get the money from a credit card company at 21%, or a title loan place at 600% interest.

Cue Financing

Kiss the Ring and you can get the cue of your dreams.

But someday, at any time you will be called on for a favor.

Miss a payment, and Guido will be knocking on your door with a couple of thugs who just got out of prison and miss the 3 square meals a day and pumping iron for free.

I say we call Bill "Da Godfather of Da AZ Forum".

LOL

Just kidding around.

Excellent idea.

Consider if you pull a cue off the market and someone ends up not coming up will all the payments - what happens then? Someone else may have seen it on the site and ponied up with all the cheese.

No way someone wanting to pay cash before you get a cue should not be better than the risk in financing - unless they are suspect and have messed you or others around before.

Mason has had some poor info given to him, I traded a greg sirca cue that I bought off a forum member pokerpro(eric) and gave him 400.00 cash for it because she liked the cue and ,offered 5 hrs massage for the cue. I ended up getting 3 1/2 hrs massage because of conflicting sched.(Mine and hers) and still gave her the cue and also tiped her 20.00 each time except for the 1/2 hr.the cue maker was a member here on the forum greg scirca. it was a nice cue !mason posted a while back that i gave her a chineese cue and ripped her off. he is just poorly informed. and mason my prices are better across the board than the majorty! thank you and good day! :)
