Mason has had some poor info given to him, I traded a greg sirca cue that I bought off a forum member pokerpro(eric) and gave him 400.00 cash for it because she liked the cue and ,offered 5 hrs massage for the cue. I ended up getting 3 1/2 hrs massage because of conflicting sched.(Mine and hers) and still gave her the cue and also tiped her 20.00 each time except for the 1/2 hr.the cue maker was a member here on the forum greg scirca. it was a nice cue !mason posted a while back that i gave her a chineese cue and ripped her off. he is just poorly informed. and mason my prices are better across the board than the majorty! thank you and good day! :)

Bill, why do you have to waste your time answering that post...alot of people including me knows how respectable person you are.
That kind of person who wants to ruined you here needs attention and i think we don't have time to give them attention. Financing

I see a lot of moaning about the financing, and if you look at the rates some people are paying for appliances and other things the rates stated are a dream. Remember nothing is for free, the bank has to get something for its time and money. My question is if an idividual buys a cue on financing and goes delinquent on the payments who eats the loss is it the bank or the cue dealer, and would the repossession fall on the bank like a car or a house?

Bill,

I am truly sorry for my previuos post.I presented your information to my friend who told me the story originally, and he pretty much changed his story completely. He had told me $1000+ in services for a cheap $100 Chinese cue and he recanted saying he didn't know what kind of cue it was nor did he know the actual amount of time.Anyway I was completely misinformed and lied or extremely exaggerrated to and i realayed bad information here.I hope my apology helps and I feel totally embarrassed for my statements here earlier.I had no idea that I was being lied to.

No harm I appreaciate your honesty, we can only go by what information we recieve from others! and that is why a few exaggerrated words can do alot of harm! I thank you and applaud you for comming out with your post. It takes a huge man to admit when a mistake was made and a bigger man to appologize! you are a good guy in my book!

Dont hold back. Tell us how you really feel. LOL Great post!

I had a question about the financing. What if a person gets a cue on financing through Citibank or inhouse and the person defaults on the loan. Now the cue is well played with and has nicks in the shafts and cue. What happens then? It's going to be pretty hard to repo a pool cue to be quit honest, I have experience with that. Also Citibank doesn't want a pool , let alone a cue all beat up.
Second, if business is so good and you have cues flying off the shelves why finance in house and put your money and cues at risk? For example: you goto your local Chevrolet dealer and ask for a special interest rate or money off a new corvette, and they will laugh at you. The dealer doesn't have to give any special financing or deals because the Corvettes sell very well.
I wish you the best with this new program and I hope some AZ'ers get some cues that they really want.

I think this is great. Most people going to buy appliances from in house financers are paying 20-30% up front with 17-22% in interest on longer term loans. With a fair amount down and the shorter note at the respectable rates you are offering it really gives people a chance to get their hands on something they never would have even been able to breath near.

I really hope this works out because I'd like in on something like this, I just won't be ready within the next 60 days. Props to you and I'm excited about what you are doing for the billiard community.

I love the concept, but was also curious about how the finance company has knowledge of the value of the cues financed. Do you supply them with a written appraisal of each cue financed? Also, I still have questions about the default issues from your standpoint. Does the finance company get stuck, or you. Sounds like it would be the finance company. I think a layaway plan would work better but would be a paperwork hassle for you. You keep the cue until it is paid in full.

Wow, this is the second time in a week I have seen someone on AZ say they were wrong and apologize. Kudos, its far to rare when we are willing to do this.

we wioll do all of the abouve , but the credit company does assume responsibility we get paid you put your credit on the line or we will do a in house until it is paid in full! it just depends how patiant you are.we are providing all of the options and what ever works for the customer! we accept credit cards/paypal/finiance/lay awaytrades. we even took 1oz gold coins in at full market value at the time!

i doubt that citibank would want the cue if you defalted on the loan.. i would imagine it would be just like a personal loan with low rates...

if you did defalt on the loan.. they just run your credit through the gutter while they try and collect.. it would be stupid to buy a cue and then ruine your life for not paying..

buisness is great! your right we DONT have to do this, and if the chevy dealer wants your buisness and he was smart,he would send a limo to pick you up so you can drive your vette home and he can put another on the floor !then the guy who wished he bought the red one you sold ,will buy the blue one sitting there because he does not want to miss this one! heres how we look at it we provide a service! and the more options the more sales/ the more sales the better turnover of product/if cues are moving then the collector has a stronger investment( and more willing to invest in the thing) and ifthe product is moving and money is changing hands then all is good for the industry! its a happy circle and everyone wins! By the grace of God our buisness has flourished when people are saying the economy is poor! we are trying to stimulate it more! Thank you God Bless you all

Good point, Von. I think I was one of the guys that misread the intent.

Bill didn't say "Layaway"....he said financing (and did mention going through a bank).

That does change up the ball game a bit, doesn't it???

Damn it......now I gotta go check out his website!!!! :) :)

Mark & Von,

Yes....very good point. I think in my initial perception of this, I was really not thinking "true financing" but strictly in-house finance/layaway type deals. After all, in today's financing market we are in with such a large percentage of home and auto loans defaulting (for example), who would even begin to think that a finance company would loan anybody several thousand on a cue stick ?? You almost have to through the product out the window and just assume this would have to be a personal loan (from their standpoint).

I don't know how the financial instituion can consider this venture at such a low rate but it will be interesting to see where things stand, say a year from now. You would have to think that formal financing would be safer than layaway for the seller. I can tell you this, probably 40-50% of the layaway deals we have done in the past fizzled out and didn't come fully to fruition. That would alleviate some headaches for the seller, but I would still be concerned about the "in-house" side of this.....
