Run the Century

Anybody else feel a little cheated when they do this? I realize Appleton has already won the event but it seems a little nitty - like going to a baseball game and 2 teams that are out of the running for the playoffs agreeing to only play to 6 innings.

24 matches and 2 shortened? -personally not feeling cheated at all. You must be REALLY into it.

I kind of felt that it was ok. They were all there for 6 days, the last match didn't matter and they did say that they would allow the players on a run of 50 or more continue to see how high they could go.

One thing to remember is that the players got to take breaks, the crew was there for every ball and working in between matches.

I can live with missing 8% of the matches. I'd be upset if it were like... 25% or more.
Be honest, did you watch EVERY match from start to finish?
Or did you skip a few to go do other things?
If you voluntarily missed two matches you can't really worried about being cheated out of 2.

Baseball games do not play the bottom of the 9th inning when the inning doesnt matter. Not a huge deal and they had plenty of content imo.

Which is about 6% of the game or about what we missed. No harm, no foul.

Not a good analogy. In 14.1, the guy who gets to 100 first is not necessarily the guy who would have gotten to 150 first if the game had continued.

Don't think the players minded, after six days they were probably ready to leave.
It was an great event in any case.
