should I Attend the 2006 Peoria Event

Yes, you should...because

I will be there....and a whole bunch of other people just like you and I...

FANS......and we will go out on Friday or Saturday nite..and break bread

together...

Maybe even talk a couple of the ladies into hitting some balls with us...and if we win...a chance to brag and if we lose...a chance to pout..

Will see you there...we are arriving on Thursday but going to Normal to be with a friend and then watching on Friday and Saturday...Sunday if too long....

We must start back to Toronto...

bye for now...Wayne

Peoria event

Yes, go. I have been going for several years and I will again this year. It's fun and my pro Angelina Paglia will be there, and she is a delite to talk to. All the pros are nice to talk to and watch. Diveney Cues

How is Angel doing? She and her Dad visited my shop years ago in Phoenix. I understand her Mom was moving to MT but got cancer before the move - she is buried in MT. I have tried to contact her to offer our condolences but have not been able to --- please let her know. Thanks

I purchased my tickets last Friday. I'll be there Thursday night through Sunday!

P.S. I'll also have my WPBA Tribute Edwin Reyes cue with me for those who might want to see it up close and personal like.

The only question is, WHY NOT?
I would be there if I could.

Always support the sport if you are able to!
More people should feel that way. If more events had bigger crowds watching, sponsors would become more interested and prize money would go up. It's a simple path.

Well, I've just found out that I'm not going to be able to make it to Peoria this year. I'm very sad that I will not be able to see all of the friends I met last year but we have to play the cards we are dealt.

If anyone hasn't purchased tickets yet I am selling mine in the wanted/for sale section here as they are non-refundable but they said I could make arrangements for someone else to pick up my tickets. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it next year!

I would definately attend, but avoid the Sunday matches. For Sunday they charge way too much to sit around half the day and watch three races to 7. You'll get a better view of those matches on TV anyways. Friday and Saturday are by far the best days to be there because there's almost non-stop action and it features all of the star players.

sorry to hear you wont be there Zeeder.
more than likely i will not be in attendance either. there is a very, very slim chance i might jump in the vehicle saturday morning and drive over for the afternoon and evening rounds, but the chances are almost zilch.

hope the WPBA goes back there next year, i more than likely will be back in attendance for the 2007 Peoria event.

hope Willie and Wally and the rest of them have a great time. and i hope my absence doesnt mean that Allison is not the favorite!!!

DCP

Definitely worth seeing. The fields are highly competitive now, no longer the Allison and Karen show.

I agree with the other poster who said forget about Sunday. The Saturday matches are usually the best. From the round of sixteen on.

DCP...how can you not attend, I'm pretty sure your favorite player Aileen Pippen has qualified for this event. That might change your mind.

Sarah,
Not to dilute the strength of your persuasive powers, but I have heard from a HIGHLY DISREPUTABLE source (breakup) that AP will not be attending the Peoria tournament. I do believe that she qualified, but something came up that will prevent her from attending.

Anyway, I hope to see both you and DCP in Peoria next week. Since Vagabond is shirking his duties as host this year, I suppose I can treat at the Burger Barge.

williebetmore, I really don't have great persuasive powers. If I did I might be a little farther in life than I am right now. :)

Anyway, I trust your source. It's too bad Aileen will not be playing. She is a great player and a very nice person.

Sarah

AILEEN MIGHT BE PLAYING????????
wowsa!!!!!!

can someone find out for certain if she is going to be in Peoria? i just totally drool over her, i mean, the way she plays the game, nice technique and all, you know :D

anyway, i suppose there is always that slim chance i might jump in the car saturday morning early and drive over.........

let me know, k?
i suppose i can check the tournament charts next week.
