Getting long
This thread is getting long but I think if you look back through his posts you will find that his problems with other players had to do with gambling, nothing at all to do with the new owner.
As for keeping the place open, no way for us to know if the owner got a little jelly from other people and no way to know the circumstances. When I owned a storefront business it was open the posted hours. What I did or didn't do outside those hours was my business. Some days I didn't mind staying late, others I was dog tired and ready to call it a day square on the dot of closing time.
Quite honestly I would be much more inclined to cut a friend or good customer a little slack than someone causing me headaches too. Staying open outside of business hours is a favor, not something anyone is owed. I'm not inclined to do folks that annoy me favors, not in my personal life or business life.
There may be an issue of if it was legal to stay open late too. Happy customers aren't likely to dime you, somebody you aren't getting along with might.
We obviously don't know the whole story but even his version doesn't leave him smelling like a rose.

Nine Ball said:True, But it sounded to me he wasn't getting along with anyone because of this new owner. Obviously something has happened between these two in the past and they both held it personal. This new owner staying open until 3am or 4am with other regulars says it all. Atleast it does to me. Like I said nobody knows for sure.
