from nothing to maybe twenty apiece

Anywhere from nothing to about twenty, maybe twenty apiece. Was it an easy install and did they do their job with as little effort as possible and nothing more? Give them five bucks for beer or nothing.

Was it a tough install or did the installers go to some extra efforts above and beyond what the job called for? Then it is time to consider a real tip. A nice thing to do and you never know, you may need these guys again!

I think the installers definitely deserve a tip, if they do a decent job.

I just got back from the local Chinese super buffet, and I gave the waitress a fiver for a $20 dollar tab, even though she let my drink get way too low...:D

I over-tip everybody, unless they do a really terrible job. But the guys installing a table in your home are going to improve your quality if life forever, kick 'em a twenty, or a fifty, if you can afford it. Like Hu said, you may need to see these guys again.

Greasing the wheels always pays off.

I like to tip up front on things like this. For example.....If they are charging 200. and there are 2 of them, throw them both a $20 Spot up front and tell them you really appreciate them. They will work extra hard to make it nice. ;)

I would probably just take a sick day and be there too.

Good luck with it!!

btw - What table are you getting?? Will we get some pictures??? (you could also let them know that you will be posting pictures on a pool website of their setup, to show it off) ;)

If he does a good job and it plays well...I give him $20. If there are two I give them $10 apiece. Johnnyt

Thanks

Thanks for the quick replies.
I work as a fireman, so Im stuck at work.
the table is an import. Presidential Billiards. a 7 foot bar size. A divorce and job loss forced the sale. I know it not a great table. but for 500.00 bucks it will do fine for the neices and occasional party. the table is is new condition. not like new, not sparringly use. it is in excellent condition. anyway Im rambling on.
Spoke to the wife and she said she will take care of everything. I hired a local billiards company for the move. and they said it won't be a difficult move and set up, and of course after the move I will post pix.
thanks again.
Michael
